If I see Soundtrack Fred has posted a soundtrack suite, it must be worthy of his attention--and mine! Thank you Fred

The 60's movies and soundtracks of that time is the best ever for me growing up!! And to this day! Such a feel good time!

Again...so much like the "flavor" of the 1960's soundtracks to many "city story" movies. I like this stuff! What a shame the movies of the past 30 or so years don't follow this mellow pattern of music. Thanks, Fred, for another good one to listen to.

A more exciting time of life for me in media. I was constantly busy to the point where I worked day and night, and sometimes all night editing voice audio and audio for slide tapes, if you recall those. Those were the 1/4 inch tape splicing days for me. & 35mm slide photography.

Thank you so much Fred for sharing this wonderful suite of music! I have been waiting for this delightfully beautiful uplifting song for a long time now. Neal Hefti had a special gift for writing music that could cheer one's heart up :) I recently lost lost my dear beautiful Evelyn to cancer. We used to listen to this tune together by Billy May. Brings back wonderful sweet memories....

Yes, this is a hard one to find. Right up there with Breakfast At Tiffany's, it offers up great memories of the movie, the light hearted tempo and easy to sing along to with the lalalalalalala. Just a great movie with a great soundtrack, my top 5 list for sure.

Yeah, for sure; I lived with a very scratchy vinyl copy for years before finally finding a CD. And you're definitely not the only person to connect this one with BAT's- a good friend of mine calls those two the definitive "Sunday afternoon" films.

Going barefoot in the park Where it says keep off the grass Isn't recommended for the very old But when you're young and you're in love The world is beautiful And I'm not a bit afraid of you catching cold Running barefoot through the park Searching bareheaded in the rain Just to look for a midwinter daisy Seems kind of crazy to do But come along, my barefoot love To the fields that shine with spring Let me laugh and play all the way knee-deep in daisies with you La la la La la la la la la la...

Absolutely great movie filled with terrific one liners such as Robert Redford looking at the hole in the skylight, before he leaves the apartment and says..... 'and thus it was written, some shall die of the plague, some from pestilence and one poor schnook is going to get it from a hole in the ceiling.'..good bye hole...good bye leaky closet.' And topping it all off the great Neal Hefti soundtrack and musical score. They don't make 'em like this any more. Too funny and too many good laughs.

Bien qu'il ai été un compositeur pour le 7ème Art de 1957 à 1981, Neal Hefti est plutôt mal connu en France dans ce domaine. Cette suite orchestrale bien séduisante nous dévoile un style d'écriture inspirée du jazz. Soundtracks Fred....encore merci !
@michelmorioux68693 жыл бұрын
Sa période la plus connue reste,dans le domaine du jazz, celle avec Count Basie et son fameux album "Atomic Basie". Mais c'est en 1965 qu'il compose la bo du film Harlow dont le superbe "Girl Talk".

Hey folks, the famous Varèse Sarabande soundtrack label just released the two legendary Neal Hefti scores "Barefoot In The Park" and "The Odd Couple" in their film versions on CD. Limited to 2000 units. www.varesesarabande.com/products/barefoot-in-the-park-the-odd-couple A great news, however the album versions (like heard here) stay unreleased on CD. In my opinion, they should have put them on a second disc to have all together. But maybe I am a bit too picky, or there were some right-issues. You never know. But I thought I am letting YOU know about the release. :-) All the best! Fred

Anyone who dared to dream a dream come true is someone who lives among the chosen few. They break away from the day to day and find the path without the snares and potholes. The one that leads them all the way, to the one that God knows. They make love everyday, in every imaginable way. The work they leave behind, is the work their hearts have begun. They make it easier for the children to pick up the pieces and run. I want to be one. A dreamer who dared to dream a dream come true.
