How have you found the course to help with your hiking? It feels to me like the Reclined Lajin stretch has had some profound impact on my gait :D (also we want some new content from you mate!)

@@beyond_domestication Thanks very much! I'm taking a break from the vids and Instagram for a while. But hopefully have something new to upload soon. After the lockdowns, I got savage extensor and peroneal tendonitis a year ago on the West Highland Way and after that I sprained my ankle back in November and it never fully healed. It kept reaccuring and I had a constant dull ache in my ankle. The Bosu routine and rolling pin action has strengthened my lower body a lot and for the first time in ages I had no pain in my ankle. It did come back the other week but very slightly after a 7 mile walk, so decided to go to Physio and my assessment showed that I was seriously over pronating, so I've recently fully reset with 2 weeks rest, crutches, brace and now the pain and swelling have completely gone I'm back on this to rehab. The Bosu has helped me learn to walk properly again with a flatter foot, shorter stride and stronger chain. Still a way to go. Just getting rid of tiny problems one by one. Some things I've switched up/personalised: I do the rolling pin action sitting down and only lift my toes on the outside edge, or my Plantar Fascia gets irritaed. I can't yet do movements on one leg on the Bosu, so I just balance, but I smash it with my eyes closed on two legs. Instead of baby bounces, I do slow calf raises and do an extra set on the weak leg. I do the Y Lajin and then the Squat Lajin as it's impossible to do the reclined one properly in my house. Lastly, electrolytes and Joint Defender have definitely sped up the healing process. How have you switched it up? What were your problems and how has this helped?

@@thetrailhunter4469 nice mate that is some amazing progress! Sorry to hear you had pain last year, but good you were able to switch things up based on that feedback. Even just reminding myself to flat foot squat throughout a day hiking and carrying a pack helps to keep everything strectched out. We are off to Skye at the end of the month, hoping for a tad less midges than you experienced!

Great video, Tim! Loved it, start to finish. Funny bit of synchronicity, after seeing you and some of the other guys go barefoot for parts of the last DTE ramble I decide it to try myself. Just this morning I did about half of my usual morning dog walk barefoot and really enjoyed it! Great info you shared too, your passion really came through! Thanks for sharing! 🙏 -Angel

did you say those shoes were altras? I've done a fair few hikes using just my xero HFS's, which are surprsingly grippy for whats meant to be a very barefoot road running shoe Been tempted to try out the TeraFlex model though for just a bit more protection
