Our mono-hull didn't have a hardtop to catch rain, but i found that using clothes pins to clip a plastic tarp to the forward lifelines would funnel lots of rainwater aft to where we could hand pump it into jugs for 'Sun Showers' and dish washing. Without filters, we didn't feel like drinking the stuff, even if the cats liked it, but it saved all our potable water for 'Bourbon and Branch'...🥃

Yeah they are gonna get one when they come up with about $50,000 bucks mast , boom, rigging , and sails ! Ya don't have about $50 grand you could donate do ya? . LOL These two have worked very hard to put out almost 400 post and with very little support cant believe they are still at it. Keep it up guys and maybe it will pay off!

😂 It is coming into hurricane season soon. We may be able to find a mast cheaper but who knows. For now we are the worlds slowest power cat

Do you folks ever tank up with fuel? You must be getting great nm/gallon ! Do you generally run one engine at a time?
@BarefootTravels8 ай бұрын
We get about a gallon an hour running both engines. Typically we get about 6 knots depending on the sea state

Hi Guys, always enjoy your videos. Question, can I buy the intro song anywhere? I've looked with out any luck... Sorry if this have been asked before.
@crowdfundcrew8 ай бұрын
Have you looked at maybe more solar panels and a kite sail instead of a mast for longer passages? Donate for a Dream
@jimdickerson14018 ай бұрын
You can get you you can get your a balloon and standing rigging from singular man in Fort Lauderdale for the reasonable Sailor Man in Fort Lauderdale also you should think about taking on Brian Sailing Boat and finish it up and make it cool 100,000 on the boat

Are you guys ever gonna get a mast? lol
@BarefootTravels8 ай бұрын
Omg really I didn’t notice, we still don’t have a mast?! Omg In all seriousness no I don’t know when we will get a mast. We got a quote when in the states for one and it was $50k. Which is WAY out of the budget.
@justsomeit58187 ай бұрын
@@BarefootTravels Wow that much? That's like carbon fiber money. Couldn't you buy a crappy mono hull with a half decent aluminum mast for a 1/10 of that? One that's the right height and load spec and just MacGyver it. Davey is the type of guy that can build a radio out of two coconuts, a rubber band and, three pennies.
@BarefootTravels7 ай бұрын
@justsomeit5818 no. We cannot use any old mono hull mast.
