Truly appreciate what these two put into their craft, their everything to put on a show for us, the suffrage throughout to entertain and make a living the way they know. Many applaudes deserved. Great fight, Shaoff seemed to have a more traditional boxing style and was so accurate despite the knockdowns. Elmore is just such a tough fighter though !!
@Sean_Regan3 жыл бұрын
In this fight paticularly Elmore possesses the elusive boxing trait that is power punching. He loads up his shots and he is simply doing more damage per punch on a lot of those haymakers compared to Shoaff's one-twos. He's also a stockier guy it's possible he just has more torque in those punches, a lot of factors go in to punching power but you could just tell Elmore was hitting harder for the most part. Shoaff should have used more movement or even stay on the outside if he wanted to fight like that, he got clobbered in the pocket in the fourth and fifth rounds but he did some pretty good damage it was a great fight.

No, you don’t win by getting dropped. Shoaff’s damage to Elmore was mostly superficial lacerations and it wasn’t enough to stop Elmore from fighting back. However the reverse was not true from Elmore, he threw concussion shots that wobbled shoaff and nearly finished him. I admit shoaff had a great start, and if the fight went longer he might have mounted a comeback, but he was down bad at the end. Elmore’s technique looked a little sloppy at times but it worked. Thats how it goes sometimes.
@Sean_Regan3 жыл бұрын
@Turd Ferguson don’t lecture me I know all that I fought a little myself. The bottom line is that it’s a close fight because if it kept going shoaff would have been finished even if he managed to significantly damage Elmore early. You could argue that shoaff did more damage I could see that argument but if you get dropped three times it starts getting questionable. Yes the chronic damage plays a role but If you’re discounting power you must be living in a different world, I might let someone tip tap me at least twenty times even if it opens up a little scratch before I let them hit me with a clean haymaker, Shoaff was just less powerful you just fell in love with how his form looks but even he was pointing at Elmore at the end of the fight who turned it around very close but unambiguous

The constant stoppages for checking the injury, and the knockdowns, were a big factor. Shoaff couldn’t establish a rhythm, which he clearly was capable of doing. And so many periods during the increasingly hurt Elmore could recover. One of those fights where I think judges should give a win based on who’s winning the fight. Elmore had nothing but a blindly swinging punchers chance, while Shoaff was easily en route to take his soul.

Охуеть! вот это бой! Усы прибавляют +90 к броне лица, красавчики оба, но Шоафф прям ему в кино надо сниматься!

How am I only just discovering this?? Absolute weapons the pair of them. I can not comprehend how they managed 5 rounds. These are not average men.

You’ve got big balls for fighting Elmore. Even if you lose you know you’ve got a set on you, they need a dump truck to follow you around and carry them bad boys just for thinking of the fight.

Such uniqe fighting styles, and both of them had the heart too, just a great fight! Respect to both of them

Tom Shoaff was robbed of his victory, even tough he went a few time on the canvas, he was never seriously threatened. The damages spoke for themselves, elmore's face was a Battlefield. Tom landed 3 or 4 more times punches than Joe.

Really exemplifies different boxing styles and different levels of self discipline! Shoaff is not a knockout artist but a great technical striker and plans well. Elmore has two cannons and if he finds a hole in shoaff's defense its over! What a great fight!

Tom getting salty about the face grab, then using the hug to turn to the center was genius
