2022 had a lot of great games, though it does feel like the year suffered from having a bunch of delays. Tears of the Kingdom, Hogwarts Legacy, Suicide Squad, etc. Now 2023 is looking to be the storm itself. Even so, Nintendo had tons of games in 2022 with many of them being bangers and it feeling like 2017-2 in a way for the Switch. Then there was God of War Ragnarok which just continues what made God of War 4 so great, Sonic Frontiers which brought quality Sonic back, Elden Ring which just took over when it released, Stray which was a neat Cat game, the Indies being great as always, etc.

@@barelyfanatical there are a lot of great games planned for 2023 already throughout all the platforms, many of which had already been delayed. Hopefully we won't have to see too many of them get delayed

I don't think I've ever played more old games in my life than in 2022. The sheer amount of disappointments all started with me buying dying light 2 day one (please make fun of me for my mistake) and it being dangerously underwhelming. I just couldn't click with any of the new games with year after that, hopefully 2023 will be better after everyone's learned from some of the mistakes.
