@@bibek6713 Yeah bro, not just a scene but 50% storyline between Ranbir and Ileana is taken from notebook, including the scene with Ileana's mom in forest, the sleeping on road scene and the two main characters d*e in short duration at the end. The other half of storyline is from Benny and Joon. The physical comic scenes are straight from Charlie Chaplin, Gene Kelly, Buster Keaton and Jackie Chan movies. Even the main theme is straight from movie Amelie. Despite all these, I love this movie but cannot call it a masterpiece due to its lack of originality. Also it was one of those movies that was undeservingly sent to Oscars as India's official entry.

Barfi's a Masterpiece 💯 That's Foolish part in police station, when the officer said humko foolish samjhta hai, while Barfi was lip reading it Foolish sounded like Police so he nodded his head 🤣🤣 there are many hilarious scenes and emotional too complete package. I still wonder how Priyanka Chopra didn't win the National award and the Filmfare for such brilliant acting.

Haradhan bandopaddhay a veteran actor in mainly in bengali film industry..in 7:06 th minutes..is one of the finest actors ..he is no more .. Roopa Ganguly who played iliana' s mother ...jishu sengupta who played a short role as Iliana's husband or fiance ...these are all best actors in bengali film industry and I'm very happy as a bengali to see anurag basu (who is a bengali as well) used them..

The name barfi is inspired from a famous Indian sweet called barfi which is basically a soft diamond ♦️ shaped sweet made out of kaju (cashews) and layered on top with silver foils..

The reason the inspector slaps Barfi for answering Yes to the question "You think I am foolish?" is that Barfi misinterprets foolish with police as they both are mouthed the same. so, Barfi thought he is asking "You think i am Police?" and answers yes to it.
