Once I went to the Bobby Garland baby shad swmr, in monkey milk, They hit it just like minnows… I was trying to use a bonehead crazy chicken prior and they didn’t want nothing to do with it… But that monkey milk got the job done. I wouldn’t of even needed minnows if I had started with that one. And I knew better… But glad I brought minnows anyway!!!

Sorry man, they are not on all the trees, not even most of the trees… They are in specific places in relationship to different water deaths. I’m finding them off the sides of Creek channels and around drop offs.

Hey, you just need another Ram Mount ball base and a power cord. No need for another cradle and snapping that Garmin in and out is a bad idea.
@BarFlyFishingTexas4 жыл бұрын
Yea, Jake and I have been talking about that, that’s one another reason I don’t have it because I haven’t made a decision. We were thinking about just a mount, and moving the whole cradle and all. Just unplugging the cables. But I may just buy a whole brand new 93SV when they go on sale in the fall. Then I won’t have to worry about it at all. And I can move on back-and-forth to the kayak instead

Hey man do you ever fish for crappie with the little shad minnows that you can catch on these lakes with a cast net?
@BarFlyFishingTexas4 жыл бұрын
Are usually don’t, those shad die so fast, Especially the small ones. Not to mention they are hugging the trees, and I don’t want to throw a net down on the branches and tear up the net. I use the shad for cat fishing though.

Sweet video! Love ur enthusiasm..... Hey on a different lake or etc can u give us an example of what u say ur looking for to find crappie? Like ur definitely finding them and I would love to see u planning it at home on the computer then taking that to the lake and CATCHING like u do!!! Thanks.....
@BarFlyFishingTexas4 жыл бұрын
Reggie Donner, Absolutely, that’s a great idea. But just so you get an idea now, first thing I want to find is a feeder creek, The bigger the better. And then I go to the mouth of that creek a lot of times, and I follow the creek channel into the lake. From the mouth out into the lake I watch the drop off, looking for 20+ foot of water. And if I’m lucky, there is exposed timber. If not I have to scan bottom with the livescope For brush piles in that area. And sometimes the Crappie will just be sitting on the drop off. Grouped up together on the ledge of a steep drop. I have spent hours looking, but once I find them, I kill it!!
@rdonner284 жыл бұрын
@@BarFlyFishingTexas , sounds like an AWESOME upcoming video! U would be surprised how many people can't visualize what ur saying vs looking at ALL that water on the lake!
