What are you looking for when you pick a spot?

Deep water close to shallow water close to the bank, drop offs, grassy areas, rock piles, and any kind of structure… Organic material like trees and bushes in the water. You just never know sometimes. I’ll throw at some thing that looks ridiculous, and catch one and be shocked, and then fish really hard around something that looks amazing, and catch nothing. But you’re not gonna catch em if you don’t try.

I’d love to help folks out, so just following my lead and checking your own waters is the best bet. Can’t catch them if you’re on the couch. Just go walk the banks and give it a try! Man I would love to, but I guide in all my spare time. Most of my videos are spur of the moment, or opportunistic few hours after work. I carry my gear around with me all the time, if I get close to somewhere I think will be productive, I work, and then I drop by the water. The days I can schedule anything, I schedule guide trips. I feel like I have zero free time
