Bargain Hunting at Midland Coin Fair! What I Bought!! Rare 50ps and More!

I went to spend some pennies at the Midland Coin Fair in Solihull, Birmingham, at the National Motorcycle Museum!
I bought some silver, some Isle of Man Viking 50ps and some scarce coins from around the world. With the rarest having a mintage figure of just 17,000! We added a new country and a new issuer to the collection!

Fabulous purchases LAFTA 😊. Hard to choose a favourite amongst those but I've always loved the IOM longboat designs .

Very nice pick ups. Pity that IOM 1982 Longboat didn't have the crib privy mark, or that would have been the bargain of the day! 🙂 I also have a 1927 Palestine 10 Mils, but was gifted it by Jude S 😁 Would be nice to find some of the later years, as they have lower mintages. I like that PNG Toea Turtle 👌

Great little lot of coins there, the 1985 Isle Of Man 50p has a one off stylised Triskelion Privy Mark at the top of the reverse, which doesn't appear on the 1986 & 1987 issues

Hi Lafta on your picture you arrow what looks like a mint mark on the front of the boat can you tell me what that is please, I rethought I had the full set but I can’t find that one, Les.

It’s the baby crib mintmark. I didn’t realise I had used the wrong image myself until another commenter pointed it out!

Huh? Buying things from dealers at the prices they have listed is ripping them off? Seriously? They listed the items at a price they were happy with, they are supposed to be the experts. I'm not going to offer to pay them more than they want, am I? Am I misunderstanding? Surely that's not what you mean?
