The 2023 Atlantic salmon 50p value has been discussed many times, but the 2023 mintage figures are expected very soon. What will that do to the value? Will it go up or down? We also look at the value of the 2023 Privy marked version as well as the 2024 un-issued coin..... and I get on my soapbox!!

At the time of making this video, prices were an AVERAGE of £25 on Ebay. That means some are higher and others lower. However since the video's release a week ago, the price has rocketed again. As of today (24 Aug) the coin is changing hands on Ebay and Facebook groups for between £45 - £50. My message remains the same - shop around carefully!! Happy hunting. cheers.

Very well put together Les, I couldn’t have said it better myself, In addition we now have the new 23 Bees circulating, just 2.975M is minuscule for a £1 coin

Hi Ian. welcome aboard... and thanks, you don't realise how many takes it took to do the video. After an hour or so, the final effort was enough before I went more made than normal 🤣 Under 3 million will make it interesting, but I suspect Ebay will be alive with the sound of high prices very soon! I sold 1 on ebay for £30 last week i ended up with £22.99 after ebays deductions still not bad ive got another 4 and a definitive set from 2023 😊

Hi. The 2023 non-privy marked 50p will only go up in value. Look at the Kew 50p... a year ago it was £100, now it's £150 or more. The Salmon might not hit the heady heights of the Kew Gardens, but I think you would get a lot more than £30 in 6 months time. (that's not financial advice... but a gut feeling!) Good luck. Cheers.

I'm not in it to make a shed load of cash, well I am but not to that extent 😂. Once the mintage figures are released, and if the amount is lower than the 500k people estimate, the price will go up even further. At present they are selling for silly money, so good luck. Cheers.
