I love Italy, the country of great civilisation, and love it’s most sophisticated people, like the clean tidy streets, and the elegantly dressed people, thanks for this nice tour .

Sophisticated really?! Because what Im seeing in this video is Italians smoking everywhere in public with no concern for their smoke, talking (yelling really ) very loudly in public, dressed very shabbily, scooters flying down the streets and parking anywhere they like, etc. This actually makes me not want to visit their beautiful country.

In WW2 Bari was the site of a horrible accident. The German attack at Bari, dubbed ‘little Pearl Harbor,’ unknowingly hit an Allied ship full of poisonous mustard gas bombs. The Luftwaffe’s lucky strike, which released a poisonous cloud of sulfur mustard vapor over the harbor-and liquid mustard into the water-prompted an Allied cover-up of the chemical weapons disaster.

The walk starts exactly in Piazza Mercantile, a square that unfolds in many alleys of the old quartier. Some highlights would be: - the Panificio Fiore on the right where they sell probably the most delicious focaccia in the whole city at 11:29 - the church of Saint Nicholas at 16:30 - piazzetta Bisanzio at 22:50 that then leads to the church of Saint Sabinus at 24:18 - a side view of the Swabian Castle of Frederik the II at 25:57 and the lovely Gelateria Gentile on the left at 27:05 - a sneak peek to Theatre Margerita on the left, that faces 2 of the biggest streets in Bari, corso Vittorio Emanuele and corso Cavour 42:32 - the Saint Nicholas port where fishmen often sell raw seafood at 44:45 - the walk continues and ends throghout the famous Lungomare (bay area) with a look at the art nuveau theatre Kursaal Santa Lucia at 49:09 and the ferris wheel at 51:43 . Too bad that the Theatre Petruzzelli and the Museum Corrado Giaquinto didn't appear despite being close to the areas that were filmed. 😕 Hope you have a good time in Bari! 😊
