Through experimenting I have found the perfect amount of foam can be had by adding a touch of full fat milk to the semi skimmed. You can increase or decrease the amount of foam by altering the percentage of full fat milk. It also makes the mouth feel more pleasant.

I’ve only just got my Barista last week and I’m still working through trying all the recipes but one thing I did notice, pour slower, scrape the froth out of the jug if there’s any sticking to the jug. That does improve things on cappuccino and latte art certainly. I’m no expert though. What about if they made a mistake? Would results be any better if you did it in reverse, milk first, coffee after? You might end up with a mini-macchiato, maybe I’ve just invented something, rofl.

Yeah certainly nothing wrong with experimenting, thanks for sharing 👍

I use Lactaid 2% fat and get so much foam on the Cappuccino setting it’s often too much for my mug…I love it!

Put the milk in the cup first then add the coffee (Cappuccino) and pour the milk slowly into the cup

This was my question, thank you! I'm disappointed but not surprised by the results. If you want super frothy milk though you have to try Alpro Barista Soya, the froth is insane.

No problem, thanks for suggesting it and glad/hope it helped! Will certainly look out for that milk in the shops 👍🏼

@@A2BProductions - Whole milk generally produces more/better foam in steamed milk. Try a side by side using whole and semi-skimmed milk steamed using the wand on your Creatista Pro then poured into View glass cups. More suited for cappuccinos, certainly.

Hi. Your video is useful. But why does mine says to replace the jug each time I select what I want to do??

I’m stuck between the magimix Essenza machine or the pixie as I’ve seen John Lewis is stocking pixie for £99 and essenza is around that price now, we are looking for a budget original machine as I feel limited for pods with my vertuo - any advice? Love your vids =)
@A2BProductions3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, really glad you like the videos. Did you manage to see the Essenza Mini vs Pixie vs Citiz video we did, as that may help? We also mention a few extra points in our Top 5 Nespresso machines video too. Just thought it might be good to check those out to see if they answer any questions you have. Personally, I'd probably go for the Pixie at that price (as long as you don't mind a very loud machine shaking the house down 😅) I've just heard good things about the Pixie's longevity. The Mini is really quiet but I'd quite like to pick that up for around £60 (Saw a black Magimix one on Debenhams recently for £63 or think there's a white Krups one on John Lewis at £69.99 at the moment too) so that it's not such a big loss if it needs replacing after a couple of years. Not saying it isn't as good as the Pixie in that way, just that the Pixie feels a lot more sturdy.

@@A2BProductions Hi thanks for your reply 😊 I’ve seen those videos they were really helpful it was just the price that threw me, I’d just missed out on the debenhams sale 🙈and wasn’t sure if it was worth paying the extra for the Essenza as the pixie is around the same price, really appreciate your advice as I hadn’t thought about sturdiness! Thank you 😊 👍🏼

Like someone else said, don't use skim milk. I never use that and not sure what anyone does.

Yeah the flat white is great and the cappuccino tastes good too, just could do with a fair bit more froth. Yeah they'll be more Creatista videos on the way, glad you like them 😁

The cortado setting has loads of foam
@A2BProductions3 жыл бұрын
Noticed that setting on the app the other day, will give that a go. Thanks. Funny as thought the milk in a Cortado was supposed to be less frothy than a cappuccino. If it could be used for a cappuccino, though, then that would be good news 👍

Flat whites should be made with whole milk and I think a ristretto shot
@A2BProductions3 жыл бұрын
Yeah we just followed the Nespresso flat white recipe in the book for this one - apart from using an arpeggio pod instead of Ristretto. Or if you’re meaning the size of the shot it says you can use espresso or Ristretto so will give it a go with a Ristretto shot in future for sure 👍🏼
@cheekster7773 жыл бұрын
I think a ristretto shot (25ml) is too little. I always pull a double shot of espresso in my Flat Whites when using freshly ground beans or one Nespresso espresso capsule (40ml).

I struggle making a real flat white with this machine - the one with microfoam... both cappuccino and flat white recipe on it are too foamy for me 🤣 can you help😅

This Barista Milk Frother seems to be an absolutely useless machine! Will definitely not be buying it now. You already have a great machine, the Breville Creatista Pro, that can steam/froth milk very well. I know this because I have one and it great, mostly because you can froth the milk and extract coffee as t the same time (because it's a dual boiler machine).
@A2BProductions2 жыл бұрын
Yeah we love the Creatista Pro and use that every day. Only really reach for this when making hot chocolate or a few other recipes and even then we use the Velvetiser more these days (we’ve made a few different barista recipe maker recipes on the channel but need to do more really) I do like the milk texture from the Barista Maker for certain drinks though, particularly the flat white and cortado ☕️
@A2BProductions2 жыл бұрын
It’s hotter than the velvetiser for hot chocolate too
