Firstly, much much love from Nova Scotia! I am an almost 50 something and am not an ultra runner by any stretch of the imagination. But I sure get juiced up from your vids and attack my 7or 8ks like a beast 😆 But, seriously. Will you be documenting as much of your Barkley experience as you can while you're there? I will be greatly anticipating your Barkley 2020! More so than any film coming out this year. Truly! My running friend and I will make an evening of it if you do put out a video for the event. sadly i imagine jamil will be focusing on getting a good shot at that fifth loop this year again, and not on filming. i too would like to see more of their pain and suffering from up close, but its completely understandable that the goal is to get the job done! i wish them all the best luck and finally getting to that gate five times in a row!

It’s the Naked belt. I didn’t think I was a belt guy, but I got it and love it. Super versatile and now I use it on my runs for all kinds of things. You can stash a bottle in the back too and plenty of room up front for food, jackets, headlamps, whatever.

Its ashame salomon trainers don't cater for us with wider feet,they look cool but the ultra pros I had were way too narrow and ended up injuring my foot 😭 I was gutted as I really loved the design of them

Really? I have wider feed and the Ultra Pro is plenty wide. I normally have to go half size up in salomon to fit, but I can wear my normal size in ultra pro. Try a half size up maybe?

I did go half a size up,maybe something just went wrong on the day I ran in them. I've been kind bummed out about that show ever since and never gave them another try. Cheers for all the recent videos. I've got my first 100 in may and these vids have got me going on my own adventure tomorrow. Gonna hit up a marathon across some hills not too far from me. i have a question about your training, for example, fegy on the year that he won, he trained full focus mode on 6 months before the race and he made it, do you think you can make it with so little time to prepare yourself?

I'm guessing Jamil did have some maps from previous Barkley attempts, just didn't show them. As you probably know, during the race you aren't allowed any navigation aids other than the map. You can wear a watch for time only, no GPS. So maybe the boot camp was designed to simulate the conditions they'll have to adhere to during the actual race.

I'm in the Salomon Agile. Nice and light. Good for that edge weather, to keep you warm when it's chilly but won't overheat you when it heats up a bit.
