My wife and I fortunately got a treadmill right before things started getting locked down in Oregon (though ours only goes up to 15% max). We came up with a challenge to virtually climb the elevation of Mt. Hood from sea level: 11,250'. We had little magnets with our faces that we moved up the mountain as we went. Silly: yes. But you gotta get creative to stay sane during these times!

There's a semi-shelter in place lockdown in Texas (with lots of exceptions), at least the city I live in, but I have found that while the local parks are more crowded, the unpaved single track at my favorite park is empty except for a few mountain bikes. For some reason, most people have always stuck to the paved trails. This may change but so far the only major change to my running routine has been to avoid my usual routes that tend to be more crowded which are in the more touristy areas along the river downtown.

Thankfully, Nevada hasn't gone into a full lockdown. Everyday that I'm off, I make it a point to spend a few hours outside hiking in the mountains. Hopefully, folks will smarten up about the handrail situation on Camelback Mountain...that is disturbing. I think you can get low 6s on the backyard mile. I'm going w/ 6:18. Also, a million thanks to all the nurses and doctors risking their lives everyday. Talk about some heroes.

Love your home trail loop. 6:05 Time trial trail guess. I'm in a condo, so no yard. Trails are pretty full here in Boulder, as is the path system. I am riding my bike instead as bike lanes/back roads are much less crowded. If we go full lock down I don't have a treadmill, but have an attachment so my bike can become a stationary trainer. I'll get some "biking" miles on my deck :-) Everyone stay safe and positive, we'll get through this.

In South Wales UK we are allowed to run once a day, however the local country park which has some pretty good trails for short runs up to 10k is currently closed mehh so its back to road running, fortunately like you I have a treadmill and bike turbo training but nothing compares to the trails - cant wait for this to be over. i have set up different rooms in the house for the family to keep fit, kitchen HiiT sessions, lounge turbo trainer, garage treadmill and weight training, so far only one of my sons has used the equipment as well as me of course,. I can fel the belt tightening, Ireland are down to only being able to run 2k from the house which wouldnt be an issue for me if I could use the trails on my local park - uncertain times for sure, loving the channel dude - i will probably do a vlog soon on a typical lockdown day in my house soon

Here in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, most trails are packed, as some people both young and old really do not do social distancing. Just outside of Burlington Vermont - they are also encouraging individual outdoor exercise under our shelter-in-place (if you can keep your distance), but it's getting difficult because of crowded foot traffic as well. Most trails that are maintained are closed because of mud rather than COVID-19 specific restrictions, but I imagine the restrictions will remain in place after mud season if we aren't yet out of the shelter-in-place order.

Norway did a good job by shutting down on March 13th, we're currently nr 1 or 2 in the world in number of tests per 100K citizens. This means that all gyms etc are closed down, but we're extremely lucky in that we have huge forest areas around even the largest cities like Oslo where I live. Since my sport is orienteering I can train just like normal, the only exception is that we can't socialize before or after map training runs, so compared to pretty much all other sports we're extremely lucky. My other sport, rock climbing is very different: Not only are the rock gyms closed but you also should not climb on any popular area since that would mean touching the same holds as any other climber within the last few days.

In case I'll be confined to my home, one of my dream machine would be a Precor 835 / 885 AMT Elliptical (with Open Stride). I worked out on one during a business trip at a hotel multiple times, and at my friend's gym and I really like that Open Stride thing. Unfortunately it's in the $3K range and up, way too expensive. Although... just last weekend I had to have an emergency root canal (my first ever root canal) and the cost of that could have actually covered that machine. I don't know if my tooth hurt more, or the hole on my wallet, I hope none of you guys will have a root canal now in the midst of COVID-19 frenzy: I could only find two places out of ~15-20 I called during the weekend.

In the UK now especially where I love the large training areas are blocked off. You are not allowed to drive your car to trails and our largest national part organisation have closed all open spaces. You are not allowed to meet people from other households and our biggest rule is to stay at home, protect the NHS and in turn save lives. This is standard for the whole of the UK. You are only allowed one family member into the grocery store, and it’s a one in one out system. You have to have a permit to drive around. At at 30th March. Our 1.2 million most vulnerable are also on a separate lockdown where they are not allowed to leave their homes at all. We have communities in place to support the ones living on their own. Thanks for your awesome videos!! I have a treadmill (Nordic track and also run loops around my building)

Recommendation for the treadmill setup: sound bar for the mounted TV. It can be difficult to hear audio from the standard speakers built into the TV while running and watching a show. A quality or even a low range sound bar really makes the experience more enjoyable. It took me over a year to figure it out with my treadmill setup. But now, I’ll watch an action movie (John Wick) and the miles fly by. Good luck.

Sport is not banned and actually, the restrictions introduced for the coronavirus specifically stated that running and sport in general is stil alowed. I'm in California (central valley) and people don't practice enough social distancing. So much so that the city park's parking lots got closed down because people swarmed them like crazy and it was absolutely unrealistic to keep any social distancing. So what do people do now? They just don't give a crap and park right at the closed gate at the entrance. The park itself is still open though, so if someone is not lazy, they could still come by bike or jogging (like I do), but some park visitors cannot even walk 50 yards to the BBQ shelters and drove on the gravel / grass where they clearly not supposed to be. Unfortunately I think the park does not have enough money to patrol and ticket these people. So people are lazy even in normal circumstances, but it irks me how they just don't give a crap and park at the gate. Since the park is open, there can be an emergency (like someone gets a heart attack or something), then the ambulance cannot enter, because all the 4 lanes were blocked at the closed gate. Today I made a little footage just for myself, and some owners immediately emerged saying "do you have any problem???" - like in a confrontational way. I explained that the parking areas are closed, noone supposed to park. Then they said "but the park is open". "Yes, but you cannot park here or anywhere int he park". "I don't see any sign that you cannot park here" (talking about in the middle of the f-ing 2x2 lane exit/entrance right at the closed gates). I just left, because I cannot fix stupid, but later when I was jogging I saw the police showed up. Police patrol time-to-time and they know that it's dangerous to block the gate in case of fire or medical emergency, so they nailed the cars parking there. Now I'm wondering if those IQ geniuses think that I called the police and will retaliate... unbelievable...
