My only issue with an IPA being a yardstick is now there appears to be 2 styles the West Coast and East Coast, and the two are significantly different. And the separation between the style seems to keep getting further with each passing year, so making sure you understand which style a brewery is trying to achieve is critical. I am personally on the east coast and the beers they brew up north could is unlike anything else, I am still unsure why the BJCP has not officially recognized NEIPA as it own style. Anyway your videos always feel so genuine, and I think that is due to you showing the critical nature and you being honest and transparent. And on a platform that is full of "Big Personalities" it is really refreshing so Thank You

@@DenkerNZ by our it's own style I mean not lumped in with black and white IPAs and all the other less seen IPAs this is what BJCP has to say about the style "21b Specialty IPA, Specialty IPA isn’t a distinct style, but is more appropriately thought of as a competition entry category. Beers entered as this style are not experimental beers; they are a collection of currently produced types of beer that may or may not have any market longevity." And under the NEIPA sub-category they have this to say about the beer. "Brewers are continuing to innovate and evolve the style, with the style trending towards a less bitter presentation to the point of making a mockery of the term “IPA”." So I can confidently say they do not respect the style. But I will give it too you that it's much better treated than the NZ IPA. Which it totally underrated, NZ grows some of the best Hops and their IPAs make the flavors shine.

I always Dig your brewery videos! Gotta go check some of these out. I highly suggest going a little farther east to: Homage (though they have a chinatown location now), Arrowhead lodge brewing, Rok House, claremont ales, just to name a few. All making great stuff. Homage for sure for sours and mixed culture beers! Cheers from LA.
