BARN FIND!!! 1971 CHEVELLE SAVED

True Barn Find! Beautiful original 1971 Chevelle we were able to rescue and revive! Gotta love em like this!
To scrub and clean we used Sprayway Glass Cleaner for glass and chrome this stuff is AWESOME. You can get it here:

My grandfather bought my ‘71 Chevelle new with a 250 straight 6 and 2-speed Powerglide. Now it has a 427 SBC and TH400 😂

Nice 71 Chevelle, I just picked up a 71 Chevelle a little while ago, swapped out the front clip for 70 Chevelle front clip. Getting it ready for sandblasting

Just found your channel and subscribed. I'm a Chevy freak 100% and when that Malibu popped up on my screen all clean and beautiful my heart skipped a beat. These are the cars we were all driving in our junior and senior years in high school. Lots of Chevelles, Novas, etc., Chevy seemed to be the car of choice, probably because most of us had a lead foot lol. Brother and I used to sneak mom's 68' Barracuda and dad's 66' Chevy Impala 396 SS up to Milan dragway and run the quarter, we never got caught lol. Really glad I found your channel!

We appreciate that. We were so glad to bring this baby back to life and get her on the road where she belongs. We really wanted to keep it but we can't keep them all (or at least that's what they say, lol). We agree 100% back in the day these cars were "the bomb". To us they still are. We have been die hard Chevrolet most our lives. Although now we get into almost all makes and models, we'll probably always be die hard old school Chevrolet. I'd still pull that 6 and put in a V8. Probably because the year were in I'd go with an LS because there so plentiful. There's no reason the 6 if it's original can't be placed aside for any future owner of they want it.

I HOPE WHOMEVER BOUGHT IT RE DID THE ENGINE BAY AND DETAILED IT AND LEFT IT AS A STRAIGHT 6 /3 ON THE TREE CAR...? There wasn't many if those that survived to today all original like that one.

I've NEVER in all my 50 yrs of building cars repairing cars NEVER once seen any REAL auto mechanic remove any chevy hood with hood hinges still connected ...We remove the two bolts per side and with the help of a buddy slid the hood up and onto the roof of our hot rod leaving the hinges still connected to the inner fender ...So with one gaze you know who or what kind of person worked or had his hands on any particular car ..
