Another Deere I had, I wish I had kept. One I had was in really good shape. Little over 600 hours on it. . The Gas Yanmar was a great motor. I love seeing these old Deere still going strong.

322 are a hidden gem that not many buy. Ive had 2 of these and they run circles around a 318 or 332 as far as power goes. They also sound amazing. I never ran out of power in these. I’ve had all the older Deere garden tractors and these are way better than 318 much more balls
@gardentractors17513 жыл бұрын
Only problem is you can’t rebuild the engines in them anymore. You still can on a 318 and 332.

Is that a Ruegg 3 point hitch you installed? Is it a cat 0 or a cat 1 hitch? I am having a hell of a time putting mine in! The slide is straight in the ruegg rock shaft whereas the stock one as curved! How did you get the hydraulic cylinder onto the rock shaft? I get 2 inches of range of motion.

They just don't make John Deere's the same anymore, these little tractors are truly are a gem of the past, high quality product: Today's John Deeres are in my opinion, Crap. they use small Vertical shaft engines more often that take up little space (great for working on the engine for small repairs/Maintenance), however like the Yanmar, they were built to last.

I’ve got a decently clean original 212, or the hood, fenders, & dash was original paint. I decided to freshen it up a tad, & threw some fresh paint on the frame where I could get at w a rattle can on the back, under the fenders & in the engine bay when the old Kohler was in it. I repainted & primered the tins, but that’s abt it, & some fresh wheel paint. I recently decided to just yank the gasser cuz it was burning too much oil, & it wouldn’t run after 5 min or work, & dropped in a decent used Yanmar L70 pull or electric start Diesel engine. Uses 1/4 of the fuel the gasser used, & it’s got way more power than the Kohler had. My Kohler must’ve been kinda wore out. The motor would still run I just yanked it before it went boom cuz I wonna rebuild it later down the line, the deck needed help, so it wasn’t gonna get to mow again for a while. Everything for the gas motor is still there the swap is all reversible.

Just dsl swapped my sears st16 & JD212 w a decent hood used Yanmar L70. They’re good, they use 1/4 of the fuel the gasser used, but there’s no electric start. Pull starting is ok, but when it gets cold a tiny shot of ether gets it goin. I’d love to get a JD330-332, 430, 455, & or any stock 3cyl diesel hydrostatic tractor.

I have a 322 just like that, no plow no tool box, not near as clean! I have the 3 point hitch for the rototiller. How do you change the trans oil, I can find to oil fill caps but both seem to be for engine oil.
