looking forward to see the next episode, I have bought a zxr 400 in March , still had no time to fully repair fot VAT exam, but it was in a very similar condition like yours. Already running and im over a test ride yet :D. Still has to clean carbs, front fork leaking has to be fixed and the fairing to be repainted too. But I am happy to see someone else does quite the same thing in 2024 as me :)

i had one of these, painted it up really nicely (videos on my channel) not a comfortable bike at all........... but a very quick pocket rocket! ......... it absolutely hated being sat for even a week! this really is one of those bikes that held a grudge if you didnt ride her often,...... shed give me a hard time starting up. quick tip......... the clutch is supposed to sound like a ducatis clack clack clack, if it doesnt... you have aproblem ;) ........ and have fun painting the panels though, the guy i bought it from had issues with reacting and i had real problems too. these are rapid gems though! handles like its on rails!

Glad to hear about the clutch, there is certainly some Ducati noises to it hahs

I agree with you on the Chinese fairings. It's never going to be worth loads of money. So just get it nice but something you are going to be worried about riding . They were everywhere in the 90's. And still a fun bike.

Another project of yours I'm following with great interest 😁 Nothing wrong with Chinese fairings. Had one on my Blackbird, which was on for a few years....fit and quality was surprisingly good. I do like the 400s with their ridiculous rev range, though given the choice, it'd be the CBR400 (Babyblade) but I'd bet you got this zxr for good money....£700 give or take?
@stoneautomotive10 күн бұрын
Always wanted to try a baby blade or the old CBR250RR with its 18,000rpm redline (not that you would really making any ground with my weight lol) Paid less than half of that 😬😅

We have all heard the bloke down the pub that have seen the 140mph top speed lol. Will you do a top speed run because there's not a chance of you getting behind the fairing no insult intended 😅 Hope you get some great views on the project Also you need to earn enough to have a garage extension
