Thanks George for taking me back to my teenage years with those beautiful tractors when you know by the sound of it what it was before you see it! Most 80s fords were my favourite . Fenland Rob

Wow, what an enjoyable watch, have a soft spot for anything tracked but that 85E was beautiful. You always have a soft spot and great remembrance when you first see something different like the first Case Quad track I saw, a 9380 ploughing behind the motorway services at Toddington had to pull off and make a detour just to be bloody nosey. 😃👍

Right enjoyed the George👌 as a kid I used to play with a set of top trumps but the German version (mothers an Austrian) always remember looking at the MB trac and Schlüter cards as they were totally different tractors to the rest! Sadly I’ve never been near a schlüter yet😔

That brought back a few memories George, I drove a cat 85c on a large farm around norwich for a season pulling a 8 metre rexis twin, the only difference was this one was imported straight from Texas, It was somewhere around 2000/2001

George Brilliant again For whatever reason you didn’t say that gentleman’s name where you were showing the Schluter ,cat tractors etc I can understand the reason as if the Crank is worth 30 Big ones I would hate to put a value on the full tractor 🚜 I Ploughed etc many’s the acre on Kleber 34s on a Zetor 8011 in the eighties near where you were ploughing in Ireland lots of stones I’m a sort of a good year man now ,but consider the Klaber a great Tyre one good product the Ol Froggies made,haven’t seen many of them here in Western Australia Where I moved after ploughing the rocks in Laois Ireland 🇮🇪 But lots of Cats ,there was a 9h parked nearby where I once lived for many years that’s 30 years ago Still some come up at farm auctions etc You should organize a trip of you tubers “ sounds a bit like potatoes “ to visit Australia More esp the Western side Field days in Dowering would be a good start tracmac have a good stand there As you English chaps would say must push on Keep up the good work 🍀☘️🇮🇪🇦🇺🚜🚜🇬🇧👋

The first pic of the CAT 65 with the cousins implement looks like a setup they had on the Abbots Ripton Estate nr Huntingdon in the early 90’s. Might be wrong but looks very much like Graham who used to drive it. My dad worked on the same estate mainly ploughing with Massey 3690 and Dowdeswell plough around that time.

Nice video George, the CAT build quality was unparalleled in agriculture. The big flat tracks really were built to last. Maybe that's why CAT sold the design to AGCO- they weren't doing the numbers? The built to be rebuilt philosophy is a far cry from todays throw away 'can't afford to run it out of warranty' nonsense.

Another thing to do with a vc Xerion is mowing. You'd have to find something older than a chamberlain 40k for the first suspended front axle.
@petrokemikal5 күн бұрын
What a collection.. I have a soft spot for that Xerion in particular, Its one of those tractors that has it all and none of the bullshit.. Gobs of power, comfort and just looks right.. If you have the Rotating cab option you have an extreemly versatile machine on your hands.. Dont like any of the Xerions since, all horrible looking things, Styling gone to pot as per usual for modern stuff.. It would be a tossup between this and the older 2500 3000, stunning looking machine, but rare as hens teeth..
@theturnip82885 күн бұрын
The original Vista cab is by far the best looking. 👌
