If you want to read Colleen Hoover then read Colleen Hoover! I'm sick of all the hate. Half the people just got on the hate train and have no idea why. She romanticizes DV? LOL read dark romance. CoHo has nothing on that genre. It Ends With Us actually has a good message.

I know so many people warn you against Colleen Hoover and I’m just here to say, you do you, I have read her books and I love everyone of them I have read and they are not all the same, not even close. You how everyone “hates something” it’s like a trend to hate on her and I’m not sure why, 90% of them have never even met her and go into her books biased. Please please read Ugly Love eventually it is one of my favorite of hers. As book lovers it’s important we don’t put writers down, if their books aren’t for you then just move on but downing Colleen I don’t think is the right thing to do. 🤷🏻‍♀️ everyone has what they like, I say give her a try. I really enjoy them.

Exactly!! It’s like a trend one year they love her and she can do nothing wrong the next all her books are trash and repetitive Like sure she did some bad stuff and you are free to judge her as a person and to stop supporting her but don’t come and start changing what you said about good books just cause everyone is saying it For the love of God stick to YOURRR opinion about the book which we all agreed was a good and fast paced for just getting into reading again

It makes me wonder do people really change their opinion just to fit in with the trend cause i swear 2 years ago Colleen was so hyped like she could do nothing wrong I enjoyed her books why change my mind cause she did some bad stuff Sure I stopped following her and support her as a person but the books that i have payed for and gave my time are still and will always be good books that i enjoyed and where able to get me out of slumps

Can't speak for everyone but imo her books were always mid and weird and just bcoz ppl are realizing how atrocious her works are (imagine romanticizing SA and incest ) doesn't mean everyone's following some quota. Also her fan base is hugely young teens so it's better to be aware than in the dark.

Sure Colleen is a problematic author/person but if you just got back into reading her writing is perfect to help you with book slumps so maybe try a couple of her popular books (it ends with us, November 9, reminders of him, verity, ugly love) but i think it’s definitely not worth it to read ALLL her books as she really isn’t THAT great and it gets repetitive plus there’s plenty of amazing authors you just binge read their work ( Emily Henry , Ashly Poston, Freida McFadden, and Lauren Asher etcc)
