No, they need to make trotlines, i.e one long line with multiple hooks spaced out along it. Run it from a point back to the beach, or around the mangroves. Check it 2-3 times a day. Also make some fish trap baskets to put out off the points and mangroves.

The net can be effective as well, as long as it's placed correctly. The main thing is you can't catch fish unless they are there to be caught. IMHO the mangroves should have the highest fish concentrations, followed by the rocky points.

Interesting how the commoner team rallied around Mercedes, then didn't. It was really sweet how Barnes and Mercedes got along. I like how Barnes recognizes that his life of privilege is leaving him wanting and how he needs the challenge. If I could make as much as he does in a relatively short period of time, I'd be out more often. I enjoy going to challenging places in the world and meeting people in different circumstances. I've been from the slums of India to the palaces of the Middle East. Surviving on a tropical island would be a challenge indeed. I hope Barnes grows through this experience and seeks out more. I had hoped that Mercedes would too.

Great idea! The could add new features an make it multi national event. Jus keep the righ order: (1) bring Native Americans. After they settle: (2) bring in mixed Portuguese and Spanish group (3) wait untill group No1 is 90% unable to move due to diseases brought by group No2 (4) bring in British people. Let them quarell, half starve to death (5) make British group split, wait till they expell half of them back. In next season: (6) France v Ger/Russia (7) remach: Ger v France/UK/Russia (you can remake that episode twice) (8) Germans, Russians and Poles on the same island (just make sure to put Poles in the middle, wih all resources left to the other two). Ultimate season: (9) RuSSia v Ukraine - all resources given to Rus, Ukrainians on hard mode (no food, water, no tools), Rus group 4x larger. Sit and watch how in short time the latter go on top of the former. 😜

I think that depends on how overweight they are. Someone who is 20 pounds overweight, but active will probably have an easier time than a slender person, or a person who is 100 pounds overweight.
