Way to go ed!! Good way to start the season!! Man i saw that big boy last sun mornin at 9:20 at 60 yrds.just too thick for a long shot like that.first time ive seen him since season opened.i know where hes bedding now im gonna be on him this wknd..muzzleload opens sat but ill be bow hunting.man its great to see you & ur brother hunting togather.making memories.congradulations on ur first kill of the season my friend.hopefully ill have a video to post soon.stay safe out there buddy.cold weather be here soon its about to get good.good vid!

Being that the green 2 inch Swhackers have a smaller diameter ferrule compared to "crossbow" models.... I'm curious: when the blades deploy do they come back and make small indentations on the arrow at the insert? They did when I first started using them on crossbows. I remedied that by placing a 2 grain washer over the threaded part that's just ever so slightly larger than the ferrule. Now when they deploy the indentations are on that washer and not on my arrow or insert that could cause damage.

I saw the jackal video and sighting in the scope seemed daunting, I bought an xp350 and it shoots fairly accurately up to 30 yds. My friend has a jackal and wants me to but it, but i dont want it if it is not as powerful as the xp350. After seeing you with the jackal ,I m glad i didnt buy the one from my friend. There are much better scopes out there for these crossbows. And which one would you recommend for the xp350?

I use a 3-9×40 busnell on all my crossbows now. Nothing fancy but it's a lot better than the red dot that comes with the bow. I have bad eyesight also so the higher powered scope works perfect for me in my set up under 60yard shots

I use corn from a local feed store, I buy in bulk at like $0.21 per pound. The shot ended up hitting a bit high i think it did deflect some actually. Thanks for comment!

What harness and stand you use? Oh also how are you so accurate on distance do you use a rangefinder with crossbow hunts?

I use Gorilla Gear harness, picked it up on clearance a few years ago. With shooting, I practice at comfortable distancese like 40+ yards. When its time for hunting I find objects in nature, like a specific tree or bush or rock and I count the steps from it to my tree. When deer walk out I know not to attempt a shot until they are passed that object to where I know they are in range. At that point its alot like leading a duck when duck hunting, I aim slightly in the direction that I think the animal will run to when the shot goes off, that way the arrow has time to reach once the animal reacts and intersects the arrow.

I use 100 grain swacker broadheads,,, and bone collector bolts... kills every time with the XP 350

I just bought this bow from my local wal-mart last week. I bought some Carbon Express Pile Drivers crossbolts (heavy bolts) with the 1.75 100 grain swacker broad heads. I’m brand new to crowsbow hunting and hunting in general. I’m hoping it will be a good setup. I got the 20. Inch long bolts. Good luck to me I guess lol
