In order to keep our recommendations up to date, we maintain a 'Buyer's Guide' on our Patreon page (with a wide spectrum of models, and a lot of technical and lifestyle-related information). Organizing our recommendations this way makes it easier to include good models that we haven't made review-videos for yet, as well as to remove models which have developed unforeseen wear-issues over time, or which have been weakened by the manufacturer in their current iterations. You can access it here: www.patreon.com/posts/stroller-buyers-37953864 As an independent, consumer-oriented reviewer, we have fewer revenue-streams open to us than the majority of other channels out there, so we do ask for a small donation for access to this guide (as well as a free consultation and access to our other Patreon content). Thanks so much for your help!

Hi! I cant put the fabric of my pram in the washer, can I rinse it by hand? Like hose it down while still on the frame?

Thank you for the great video! I was left with a few questions, though. Does the dye make the fabric stiff? Also, I noticed the link for the dye contains different types of dye. Is there a reason you went with the dye for light fabrics instead of the dye for dark fabrics?
@BarnevognverkstedNo4 жыл бұрын
It can feel a little stiffer at first, but it shouldn't be that noticable. If it feels really stiff, this can mean that there's still excess paint to wash out. The dye for lighter fabrics is more liquid and is easier to get a smoother (more uniform) result with :)

Deciding between black or grey for the fox 5 and ive heard the black fades quite a lot, leaning me towards the grey. Have you found this to be an issue?

Thank you so much for all your useful tips, ive repaired a bunch of bugaboo based on your useful videos and of course i will donate. A few questions: 1) my directions say to iron it for 30 seconds. If I am doing the blow dryer method do you hold it over each inch for 30 seconds? Thats obviously very time consuming. Have you heard of putting it in the dryer instead? 2) are these your bottle instructions or your own tried and true instructions as mine say to let it dry completely first then to heat treat it. 3) have you heard of rit (color dye that I just dunk the fabric into)or something similar and have u tried it instead of fabric paint? Thank you in advance

anybody know where I can buy a suitable dye in the UK to do this, also does the dye run when it rains? thanks
@BarnevognverkstedNo5 жыл бұрын
Not sure for the UK. The dye won't run in the rain if you've given it enough time to set into the fabric, have used proper heat-treatment, and then rinsed off the excess. :)

I haven't had any success with fully changing the color (and I've only tried lighter colors to black), so at least this product / technique is probably not what you need, unfortunately.

If the canopy or other parts of the strollers fabric is only partly faded is it possible to only dye those parts or will you be able to tell where the dye starts and ends? Also does the fabric loses any of its lustre when it's dyed, to me it looks like it does but I'm not sure. Do you know if uv-spray will help prevent fading in these type of fabrics?
@BarnevognverkstedNo4 жыл бұрын
You'll be able to tell to some extent, so it's important to do the whole textiles (even if you use a more watered-down coat for the parts that are less faded). There is a change in lustre, but it's still much better than sun-faded fabrics, imo. UV-spray (and water-proofing spray) give some protection against fading, but it's still not 100% :)

What can I do to recolour a navy bugaboo hood with cream quilted lining? I’m afraid of soaking through and staining the lining.
@BarnevognverkstedNo6 жыл бұрын
Very risky. If you use the products in our video, do the canopy in small patches, using very little paint at a time and drying immediately with a blow-dryer. We've done Babyjogger canopies this way in the past (black on the outside, cream on the inside) with mixed results. It's unfortunately all too easy for the paint to bleed through or an accidental finger to slip and leave a mark. One could always snip the stitching and sew the liner back in after dying, but then there's a limit to how much time is worth not just buying new canopy... :)
