I listened to several other versions on KZbin, but this is the one I used to listen to on my grandparents' wind-up phonograph. I would come into their basement and play this record first. It was my favorite recording. That was 60-some years ago. Thanks for posting this version. I also remember reading the comic strip in the St. Louis Globe-Democrat.

I remember my Dad singing this song(at least the refrain)before I ever saw Barney Google in a comic strip.(He rode Spark Plug up and visited Snuffy Smith!)

I have the same title a dubbed version on a blue amberola cylinder but this one have a much better sound, nice tune playing on a beautiful edison diamond disc machine !
