No way. That’s an Ibanez he’s playing here. His main ax from the session with Lester Young was his Gibson with the Charlie Christian pickup (now owned by guitarist Bruce Foreman).

Right, 175 body, Byrdland tailpiece, 335 dots neck….but the sound is in his hands, it’s the same! What a Master and a beautiful man he was. I met B in Italy 1982 for a tour near Venice and Treviso
