MAN I love this show since Day One in 75 when I was just 12 years old. I cried when Jack Soo passed and again with every cast member since. 2024 all of sudden somehow and here's me at 60 still watching. Everybody's gone except HaL and Max. I feel like all these guys where part of my family.

Same. I am 55 years old and love these guys much. The issues are still not resolved in most cases when they are bringing up something political. I love how timeless this show becomes as a result. The writing, acting, seeing familiar faces when they were just starting out (many now famous actors had a small role on Barney Miller).. the characters.. great acting, writing, storylines, I love all of it. They don't make TV this good anymore.

The effects of Agent Orange on the Vietnamese & their babies was disastrous & still ongoing. Operation paperclip brought many nazi scientists to this country. There are many instances of "tests" being performed on citizens of our own & other countries ...needs to be addressed by Nuremberg tribunals.

I find remarkable that a sitcom treated such themes as the dangers of nuclear weapons and the right to protest. Compare to nowadays series!
@thisisme32385 ай бұрын
Not surprising...it was a different mindset then, than it is today. A lot of subjects could be "discussed" and no one took it personally and got into a rage of anger, as one takes it personally with a rage of anger in 2024. Our mindsets in 2024, have become seriously degraded and eroded. Just sayin'

Wojo was absolutely right. As were the creators of this great series. Since then, the VA has seen the light-to some extent. My husband was on a cargo ship, the USS White Plains, for four years, in and out of Vietnam. Among many other things, they transported Agent Orange from the US across the Pacific. It took awhile to manifest itself, but in 2017 he was diagnosed with b-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, one of the commonest results of exposure to Agent Orange-which they had been told was harmless. Greg got no support from the VA, but he seems to think they are more responsive at this point. He was treated in the Providence system in Portland, OR, with chemo and a stem-cell transplant and survived. He has been cancer free since then, thank the Lord and that incredible medical staff. If you are a Vietnam vet and know that you were exposed, please don’t hesitate to get checked by the VA, or your PCP!
