I always forget this is a premiere but such a fun episode. I don’t think a single character felt out of place or dull - even one of my favorite Stella episodes.

I only began watching the show because I saw a video of them, with their best scenes and the kiss from Sandcastles in the Sand, which for me was one of the best episodes and the real of them kissing with the music playing, just amazing. But I thought they had a lot of chemistry since s1, the episode where they spend the night doing stuff together.

yes, but they don't work with each other for a long run as they are both alphas, and it never works. You should be willingly blind or don't understand people to not see it.

People who don't like certain things can have very happy marriages with people who do, without the big lie. They sometimes spend time with other friends. Like most people in book clubs or knitting groups. I know Sherlockians whose spouses have no interest. This would be a realistic ending for Ted, and this actually would be a good match for Ted because he wants to stay hooked to this friend group forever. I still do love Victoria, though, Joe, but Stella is another one I like a lot.

Of the shows with disappointing endings he listed at the beginning, I’m probably in the minority that thinks HIMYM ending and GoT ending are actually good and make sense. But I’m not going to open those cans of worms here, just wanted to acknowledge that an opposition exists and curious if anyone else feels the same way (again, no one go into detail here). Happy Boxing Day everyone!

The ending of HimyM is indeed the right ending for the show. The people who disagree are simply... well, you know... a certain group of shippers who didn't get what they wanted and they will forever be angry about that. The ending the show got makes sense for the whole show. The ending the shippers wanted would render seasons 1-3 (and A LOT of the other seasons) completely pointless.

@@abonny(not spoilers that might probably be spoilers) I also like the ending. The thing is that the past 2 episodes felt rushed, they could have cut some episodes of the last season to expand on those. I do not mind the final scene as much as people do.

I liked the ending of HIMYM the first watch, but enjoyed the full rewatch better knowing the ending (and liked it even more). A deleted scene makes it even better, though. I also liked the Lost ending. 🤷🏻♀️
@LSG1010976 күн бұрын
HIMYM ending IS good and it makes all the sense unless you don't know how people work. But GoT ending is not and never because of the same thing, you should not understand how people work if you don't see how bad it is.
@j.s.viewer39236 күн бұрын
@ My point for GoT (without spoiling) is that I think nearly every character ended up in places that make sense for their character, but it was absolutely rushed by Icarus career-hungry contract chasing (*cough* Star Wars *cough*). If they dedicated more time to the story arcs, I think the ending would have been more palatable for the majority of viewers. And it certainly didn’t help that the source material wasn’t finished in time. That being said, I stand by the fact that the endings made sense for the characters, considering everything including each of their flaws. The problem was that they did not let it unfold organically because they chose to rush it. I think most people upon reflection would realize they’re upset with the rushed journey rather than the end result. Especially since the trajectory sacrificed some of the other characters’ plot lines… IYKYK (I also can’t fully understand your response because of the quadruple negative in your run on sentence. I tried my best to interpret based on context clues.) That’s all I have to say, so have a good day!

💯 Most of the complaints I have seen about HIMYM are about realistic things, but to me that makes it a special sitcom. There is so much to relate to.
@tpayne16063 күн бұрын
While I can appreciate and even agree with that to some extent, the execution of the ending still failed for me. And I didn't fully understand why until I saw another reactor comment "2 days in almost 20 episodes (the event of the last season), followed by 20 years in 2 episodes." And I think that's the root problem, no matter how realistic to life, it's still a show. Those type of massive turn arounds aren't going to be enjoyable even if they make sense to real life. It's like if you had a movie with a happy ending, then put in the credits, "Oh, but they all died later though."

Seinfeld is another good show. The father of modern sitcoms, one might say.
