She came to me in rows of white In the corner of my room A specter of the night Silhouetted by the moon We're floating fast over traffic lights Bearing down on blackened skies And colors burst as I close my eyes Ooo-oooh, she said Lay me down in golden dandelions 'Cause I've been waiting for this moment all my life Follow me into the dark, ooo-oooh She said lay me down in golden dandelions 'Cause I've been waiting A thousand pictures in my mind In a painting of the past I'm brushing over lines And I'll paint them all again We're floating fast over traffic lights Bearing down on blackened skies And colors burst as I close my eyes Ooo-oooh, and she said Lay me down in golden dandelions 'Cause I've been waiting for this moment all my life Follow me into the dark, ooo-oooh And she said lay me down in golden dandelions 'Cause I've been waiting, 'cause I've been waiting And aren't we bright in the candlelight And I will cradle all these memories until the end And she said Lay me down in golden dandelions 'Cause I've been waiting for this moment all my life Follow me into the dark, ooo-oooh And she said lay me down in golden dandelions 'Cause I've been waiting Yeah, I've been

so like i thought this song was about young love, but honestly it could be about death of a girl. the flowers, " follow me into the dark", we all wait to die all our life...idk just a thought.

O Zaps that is exactly what it’s about!! Nobody ever picks up on that! Really cool that you did!
@ketchuplady29796 жыл бұрын
It's inspired by a John Doe poem I believe. And the angel of death, and him taking an old man over the memories of his life. But he sings of death as something beautiful, like with the idea that if rest is peaceful death must be the ultimate peace. He explains it in an interview.
@moth96593 жыл бұрын
@@ketchuplady2979 when I saw that interview I thought of the Catrina, a Mexican figure of the skeleton of a woman, mostly used to represent death. There’s also a yellow-orangish flower called cempasúchil which resembles a golden dandelion.

True talent. He's incredible. A f*cking privilege to have his music for us. Grew up getting my stuff pirating in the internet. No family around would think of paying for non-tangible computer/cellphone stuff. In 2017 I bought my first album, The Attractions of Youth. Still that same amazing feeling, so crazy... Thank you, for real, Barns! Cheers to all of you hobo rockets out there!

It was just a normal day. I was sitting on the sofa with a bad posture and chewed on jelly which annoying kept sticking to my teeth but i just popped it in my mouth one after another. I played the radio on my phone because there was no WiFi available and kept the device on the table infront on full volume. When the song first played i didnt catch on the lyrics and i thought the chorus was "rain me down on golden dandelion" (and i pictured flowers raining down) because english isn't my first language and the instrument was so distracting (in a good way). I straightening my posture, i stood on two feet and danced as if something eccentric possessed me. Mind you, i was never the dancing person before this day but this song envoked something in me and i loved everything about it. From that day i started learning dancing from scratch because one day i wish to choreograph this beautiful song (studio version) and express the feelings i felt that day.
