Hello person reading this, if this reaches anyone. we're from different parts of the world, we lead different lives, we are different people. but yet, this piece, this video, has brought us together. and I will never meet you, but just remember we're still connected by this piece- by simply listening to it, together. it's crazy how the internet can bring people together, huh? and I hope you're doing more than "okay," and if you aren't, remember: you will be okay, and that's a promise. please be easy on yourself- it's been a tough year, I know, but we're almost over it, and you will be happy. I don't know how much you'll remember of this, but I'm glad that our lives intertwined in this little way. have a nice day, or night, and lastly, nice life...

While I was listening to this song, I was walking on the sidewalk and was hit by a car. Many of my bones were broken and my foot was dislocated, my arm was broken in two different places, and my nerves were damaged. Over time, my psychology fell apart. I couldn't listen to this song for a long time. After a year and a half, I am fine, I started exercising again and I am slowly returning to my normal life. That is a part of your life which I’m very grateful for the posting … I know how it is … I had a terrible thing happen to me … the thing of it is that we never do return to the “same” … it’s not possible … yet what IS in our POWER is the opportunity to become deeper & wiser from the suffering … as opposed to bitter & smaller. I want you to enjoy every single gift that life grants you. Please find your own new way to thrive. You’re here, now, to be beautiful and enhance the world. It’s a miracle that you survived, and for a good reason. I was lucky to survive as well, the worse of it was that I didn’t have friends or family to help me through it all … which forced me to dig deep within myself. I know that YOU know what I’m talking about. I’m proud of you for posting your story. Thank you. 🙏

@@MidOhioPinball I'm sure people in Iceland have soul, but this has a distinct Americana type of sound. But every song on the album has a totally different sound, pretty much. And I'll third that in agreeance with this comment. It's just beyond comprehension how smooth it is but it's also gritty and hard yet not offensive in any way. You're right, they come across as very talented musicians with gravitas and no ego who take their craft seriously . The song is so soulful and whistful. Someone else commented on the fact that it was 7 minutes, didn't even realise how long the song was til they mentioned this... Their guitars are awesomly beautiful too. Will be coming back time and again to listen to them. Am amazed I have not ever come across them before today. These guys deserve to be huge. This is what real music, not the pap that gets churned out by the modern 'music industry', SHOULD sound like. Even tho' the lyrics are repetitive, I don't ever tire of listening to this song. We can go on it just feel like we can’t because our grief is all the love we have for that person we lost. You will live on. You will live on because that person would want you to move forward but you have to experience the grief to move forward. You have to scream cry whatever it takes to get past the worst of the grief. I pray for everyone who has to experience loss of any beloved person. God bless you all.

And you know the beauty of that…when you return to it when you’re out of that place, it won’t remind you of where you were, but how far you’ve come. Some songs can transcend pain to joy like no other…. As someone who’s listened to this at rock bottom, and then when scaling the hefty heights of ‘normality’….it gives you a grounding of feeling and emotion that isn’t easily done. Music maybe the window to the soul, but what it’s capable of unlocking is immeasurable
