But BJ may be right. He never said he was the best player he said he was the best pound for pound. For people that don’t know pound for pound is a boxing term used to determined how skilled a fighter is regardless of size. So if all the guys in the conversation were 6’3 180 who would you take? BJ was actually a better passer than Gil and had way better handles. Gil was a way better finisher and mid range shooter (both arguably due to size). They both were just okay bad shot taking point chuckers. So if it’s pound for pound it may actually be a tie…. Im and neither of them played defense either
@deez980511 ай бұрын
@@jamesonedwardsii4943all of this is horribly wrong 😂 I hate it when yall call dudes who had no other shot creators on their teams “shot chuckers” name another person from 05-07 who you trust on ANYBODY to get a bucket besides Gilbert. @@deez9805 you clearly didn’t grow up watching Gil and have been fooled like the rest of the sheep Antwan Jamison had arguably the most we rounded game for a power forward at the time…… Caron Butler was an off brand Paul Pierce but pretty solid scorer. I watched Gil’s career it’s CRYSTAL CLEAR most of you dudes in the comments watched stats. Your leader is a ball hog who doesn’t care about defense and has stated himself MULTIPLE times he only passed to make his teammates happy and from complaining. This is a team that was so talented yet so selfish because their “best player” had a terrible ego. Deshawn literally didn’t ever pass because he knew he wasn’t getting the ball back. Brenden Haywood literally tried to beat Gil up because he wasn’t getting the ball when he had a wide open dump off. Caron rarely passed and Twan the only unselfish player took less shots than Gil and Caron and it was ALWAYS a talking point why Twan didn’t get more shots. Gilbert couldn’t lead the Wiz past LeBron when Brons starting backcourt was freaking Delonte West and Boosie Gibson. “oh WeLl ThAtS LeBrOn”. I don’t think there is anything more entertaining than watching retired NBA ballers arguing over who was the best 😂

Gil needs to ask Baron Davis about 2008 free agency. When Baron Davis agreed to play on the Clippers for a discount and had Elton Brand all lined up until Elton got word of how much Arenas was going to get paid by Washington, which literally flipped the free agent market on its head. Then suddenly Elton wanted a larger contract and priced himself out of LA into Philly and abandoned Baron in the process.

Two time all star is a funny line but it is true! He had a shot chucking side but he was never going to be a Manu instead of an AI Jennings spared the Bucks from some truly miserable years, 76ers-like ones

He's confident. Nothing wrong with that.

Speaking on H.S. and Bradon Jennings, ask Bradon about Jamelle Barrett from Sacramento who gave him 30 and 15, ripping Brandon in the open court so many times that he started picking the ball up at half court, with 2 handed passes, at 5’9”. And y’all think that I’m lying you can still pull the article on line.
