The four best Flight Channels are Baron Pilot, Niko’s Wings, Aviation 101, and 310 Flyer.... honorable mentions are Flight Chops, Mojo Grip, and Malibu Flyer. Malibu Flyer keeps getting better with the camera work The flight channel with the most potential is Glenn Hancock and his beautiful Beech 18 videos. The Best Aviation News Channel is Blancolirio...Juan is great. Love the content Baron Pilot. Keep it up!

ChrisBow Piloto I’m sure this was meant for Jeremiah, but it popped up on my feed, we all start somewhere and build from there. Don’t mimic others, sure some ideas, camera set-up, etc. is a given. But do what makes you happy and do it they way you’re happy doing it, your passion will show through. Like the big-boys, you can tell they are having a blast first, the cameras are just there to chronicle them having a blast. You’ll appeal to a niche/void others may not be filling. That’s when you’ll grow..if you hit an a magic formula let me know too, sometimes its as simply as timing!!! Good luck and oh pull you camera angle back some, you’re too close, in my humble opinion, fine for a second/third camera angle for a short segment...GOOD LUCK!

The controllers are CRG are good people. They manage a lot of activity there. Two big flight schools, two medium flight schools, a charter service, and numerous GA aircraft not to mention the JSO airhawks. Those guys really make it happen, and Im proud to say that's my home airport because of them! Great video, keep up the good work.

Interesting stuff with the fuel burn. How many HP are those engines capable of, each? I'm guessing your combined HP has to be at or more than 600. That's some power right there! 😎 Congrats on the 25 hour milestone, too. Engines are broken in now. Nice! 👍 Do you ever send a used oil sample to a lab to see how things are doing in there? I did that with my truck for a while - now that I know my engine is failing back when it had 80k on the clock, I don't bother anymore. 😂 Appreciate your efforts in bringing us weekly vids. 👍 Thanks, Kris! 🍻
@BaronPilot
@BaronPilot 4 жыл бұрын
I only have 260HP a side. So 520HP combined. It works out to be a fair trade off of power and fuel burn. I haven’t sent my oil out on my old engines as I didn’t have a base line nor did I want to know. 🙊 now with new engines I will.
@SmittySmithsonite
@SmittySmithsonite 4 жыл бұрын
@@BaronPilot - Still, 520 is nothing to sneeze at. Explains your quick takeoff roll. 😎 Yeah, I don't blame you with the old engines, lol - that's where I'm at with my truck - a 2007, a little over 2k hours / 99k miles now. Found some disturbing wear metals around 80k miles, so after 3 samples, I've got all I need to know. Going to run it ... until it don't. 😂 Thanks for the reply, Kris. 🍻

Loved the video as I usually do. Nice job! also it was great for you to remind Pilots that they are the final authority when it comes to the safety of their flight, even when under positive control. I'm sure there are many pilots a bit intimidated by controllers. The fast-talking controller could be very intimidating for example, not to mention hard to understand. Maybe he is relatively new and needs to find his cadence with verbal instructions. Every Flight is a learning experience! keep your videos coming Thank you again!

I missed your engine change. I'm assuming you put in a 550? Those numbers sound ROP, if you ran LOP you'd get 180-185 TAS at about 20-23 GPH. Of course your useful load is much much higher. But Niko can go higher with Turbo Charged, except he's on O2. It's all a give and take, but I'd say 190 TAS is a nice haul for the Baron considering what you can take.

Great video and commentary, but not really an accurate/fair comparison of the two aircraft in the title. The SR22T doesn't really start coming into its element until above 10,000'. The NA SR22 is faster below 10k than the 22T. Somewhere around 15k the Cirrus is in the 190's and as it climbs so does that TAS.
@BaronPilot
@BaronPilot 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. It wasn’t really meant to be a one is better than another comparison. It was more of just a general comparison. Clearly even at lower altitudes the cirrus has an advantage and it has a lower fuel burn. Obviously at higher altitude’s it’s turbo engines gain efficiency for an even greater advantage. Of course there is always the argument of payload passengers and the value of the second engine. But like everything in aviation, there are trade-offs for everything.

Hi, please tell me why does the manifold pressure increases upon descent ?
@BitwiseMobile
@BitwiseMobile 4 жыл бұрын
Just throwing it out there because I don't really know, so it's somewhat of SWAG, but atmospheric pressure?
@johnopalko5223
@johnopalko5223 4 жыл бұрын
@@BitwiseMobile That's it exactly. Atmospheric pressure increases as you descend and your MP increases with it. Your MP gauge measures absolute pressure and is calibrated in inches of mercury.

MP increases as you descend because the engine can put out more power at the same throttle setting with the more dense air. I don’t believe it’s acting like an altimeter as John suggested.

@@willfly4beer98 Thanks for the reply, Yes I forgot the parameter of air density. So this is why in cold countries at the same level takeoffs are shorter than in a tropical country like where I live on Reunion island. My son who took his first flying lessons here and who is in an aviation school in Canada noticed in too while flying a Cessna 152 whereas here he flew on a Cessne 172 , he could notice the climb rate difference too.

Awesome. How was it? I flew one once when they first came out. It was a nice airplane. The Baron will have a different feel.
