Beautifully done throughout. Grace under pressure. No hesitation, no time wasting denial that the situation isn't serious... simple correct decisive action at every juncture plus perfect control of the aircraft -- and the plane goes to maintenance and the pilots go home all without a scratch. A moment of panic, indecision, and a flying mistake... and it could end differently. Bravo to the Instructor. I hope his student remembers him at Christmas.

I was instructed to always be looking for a place to land, and definitely understand the terrain around the home airport. Consistently looking for a "safe place to land" is a great metaphor to apply to life. And outstanding composure

I know nothing about Sporty's Academy, or where this is even located - but if this is the instructor that the company gave a green light for this video series to help promote their flight school, they made an excellent choice. Many people might be put off by a very young instructor, and often this is justified. But it's not about age, it's about maturity as well as checking your ego at the door. The instructor should be a mentor for the trainee, and be aware of a student's strengths and weaknesses. This instructor checks all of the boxes.

Good seeing 75W back in the air. Btw, we teach that level off in our helicopters. The Genesis HeliSAS autopilot calls it the ‘most preferred.” We call it, “the most professional.”
