Barona Oaks Motocross on 2021 Suzuki RMZ 250

If you're in the San Diego area, it is worth it to check out Barona MX, the home of champions! Unfortunately, I recently jacked up my back on my bmx bike so riding mx was painful. Still made it around the track for some fun laps though.

Very seriously considering buying the RMZ 250. Were you as competitive (racing, or lap times) on this bike as others you've had?

Hard for me to say, I had 250 and 125 2-strokes before this for mx. I did ride a new CRF though and like my Zuk better. Mine is modified now and super fun but I did enjoy it stock as well.

@@Seth505Seth I had a 17 RMZ450 and loved the handling/motor on that bike (Forks were admittedly awful stock). Have a 19 YZ250 now but want to add another 4 stroke and want to get a 250f instead of a 450...I found your thread on Vital after I sent this...all your info was super helpful, I appreciate all the information you shared! now it's just a matter of finding one. What settings did u go with on the forks? My son is 135 lbs and we went 1 slower on rebound and all the way out on comp. Its still getting broken in, but stiff. Shock is good

I'm running .46 springs front/4.7 rear with 340ml oil in the forks rather than 360. I'm 14 clicks out on rebound and 13 out on compression. Shock I went in 1 click on hi-speed rebound.

@@Seth505Seth is it working great or is it just better than stock? I plan to get the next lighter spring rate also. But i plan to pull 10cc of oil out untill then. See if that helps my kid. Thanks for the reply

@@thesouth50 You're welcome. It's working really well for me. I talked to Enzo and got springs from them. I'd talk to someone reputable like them and they can recommend the best spring rates for your son.

@@Seth505Seth i ran enzo on a 01 yz125 back in the day. Good stuff. But we have been using pr2 up until this bike. We just aren't serious racing anymore. So trying to go cheapest route possible. Sounds good though thanks bro

@@thesouth50 Cool, ya just talk to pr2 then and at least get the correct spring rates. In my opinion, the bike won't need any expensive revalves or other changes to feel great!
