Wow! just discovered this band about 5 minutes ago through gina appearing on some fender effect pedal advert. The ad wasn't successful in getting me to buy their new fuzz or booster pedals (at least not right now anyways), but I was impressed enough by her playing to check out this band, and yes, I love the organic modern yet retro influences from this group. Will be listening to them some more later I think!

This song is pure beauty, when I'm listening to it it's like it makes me fall in love with life or something like that. Just a few songs in this world achieve that kind of atmosphere of optimism and confidence for me. And the fact that John wrote the lyrics about something as horrible as an accident... man, that makes the song feel even better. That's mostly what music is about for myself, take something incredibly scary, painful and even sad and make it feel something trascendent, touching and even positive. Thank u John, to feel the honesty in the music of someone else is not only a pleasure but a priceless catharsis. Btw, I would be so happy having u guys in Spain someday, hope u have plans to visit us in the future.

i love pete..but this makes me so excited. at first i was shocked when I heard the news about pete leaving. but honestly right now baroness is one of the few metal/heavy rock bands that have a female member without her being the band's selling point! I am sure that Gina will be a great addition and will contribute to both the band's performances as well as compositions.
