There are some interesting musical switch-ups here. The pounding guitar and drums at the end bring to mind a heartbeat. The video and the wall-of-sound effect of the instrumental suggest intensity and desperation. The lyrics mention an "artificial heart" suggesting someone who has failed to follow their true heart and is now paying the price. Just my thoughts ...

As an old Dude, who has been a heavy music fan most of my life, I always ignored Baroness. I just thought they were just another Stoner Rock band. Coincedentially I just did a deep dive on them last week, and discovered they are just an awesome and melodic Hard Rock band!! I hear lots of Cheap Trick in their sound!!
