Victors of attrition are fueled by logistics. Well fed and defended routes secure a healthy fortification, starving hostile supply lines chokes their resource replenishment and erodes options. Logistics is the backbone of all construction and military based actions, it is the most profitable and effecient to control the most supply routes as possible in the case one of your supply lines are blocked. Additionally starving the enemy of supplies makes for a less gruesome surrender, profiting you again as you will not have any or as much wounds to lick after battle is truly finished.

I play this game called War Selection, it's a multiplayer rts that is very much tryhard or lose, and you usually can't rely on random teamates because their matchmaking is so random and at times unbalanced. If you can get reliable teamates to que with you, I highly reccomend it!

Baron, if you have high favorable stats with a kingdom, after a long time they will step down and hand over their kingdom to you because they trust you. You can also send a diplomat to their keep and request a military alliance, and after that you can request them to got to war with your enemies. This will get them to send troops over and weaken the opposing kingdoms.

iron and stone can be fully depleted on the survival difficulty which is why your stone ran out and for trade the ai has to actually by your stuff they will always by charcoal and tools you can have 3 or 4 charcoal makers per forester

In one of my worlds I built a very tall Ballista tower that could shoot over to other islands. Idk If it would work, but It could snipe your enemy's invasion boats before they land.

You have to set the same amount of resources under “drop off” as pickup on the merchant ships. Your ship is just picking up wood and stone and keeping it on the ship.

You can get wood towers higher if you stack 3 regular wood towers next to each other. Than you can keep on stacking the wood towers. If you put archer towers or a balista tower on the taller wood towers than they have a super long range. There is an achievement for this I believe it is called tower of Babylon.(it has to be super tall) Also if you don't want dragons to do as much damage to your city build a few archer towers in the middle of the city.

Baron, glad you finally realised the i.portance of hoarding your stone and iron. Trading for those ended up being critical. I'd recommnd you start only manning your defensive towers when you are going to be attacked. You can easily toggle them on and off in the jobs menu. Those extra hands will be critical to getting the kingdom running and keeping it profitable so you can afford to keep buying stone and iron.

You should stay favorable with at least one of the ai kingdoms, because they can give you gifts and apparently they may assist you against a hostile kingdom, although I'm not sure if that is actually a thing.

The single best strategy in that game is to wall off the entire island with even cheap wood and leave just one little square of land and that forces the vikings to land there so build up massive wall and have catapults cuz they do loads of damage but are slow
