Baron, every 5th wave is going to be max veterans (gold), so you need to manage your specials to help your defenders against the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th and 25th wave. Consider maximizing the use of those ruins at the out edge of your base. Attackers tend to avoid them and many players have placed sniper towers, snipers or bombardiers to take advantage of them. Also, your bombardiers will shoot over low rocks, while attackers can't easily get to them.

hey Baron, remember the bombardier, you can have him at gold rank and have them in very sneaky spots behind low rocks and have walls in front of very small points have the entire middle a choke point and the bombardiers will have the iron lungs perk and it'll be almost unbeatable!

If you ever want some ideas or pointers on making a strong base or the type of compositions or tactics to use, I think you would do well to take a peek around the channel of an individual by the name of Odytsak; the guy/gal is legendary at Guns up, and has bested many folks at the top of the leader boards each season. It might be worth it if you feel like trying something different or unusual strategy wise. But one thing I can tell you right away, is that the Flak cannons are your best friends, upgrade them to max level as quickly as possible, and don't be afraid to overlap their aoe's, and mortars are for the most part useless and just serve to take up space and base points that could be better spent else where.

It is best for you to put it on your tanky units or powerful like riots, snipers, mg, or any of the explosive units because they send out 1 while grunts are cheap already and send out 5 (minimum wage is a percentage thing)

Ive got you on base def strats. First go to the hq and do the reset base it will put all demolishable things that you demolished. Now go to a youtuber called odytsak he has base def strat videos but rn your base isnt the stronges. You wont last against my base TRUST ME. ( with the more obsticales youll find that you can place walls in place to block off blah blah blah you know about blocking off but some base setups like this are godlike and can survive anything)
