I don’t play the game but I’m assuming you should make sure each unit is doing maximum damage. So use debilitating perks like tear gas and focus fire. Do not use rockets, napalm etc as that is taking damage potential from the troops. To maximise your existing vets use shields as they do little damage and stun. Finally try to use as few troops as possible.

BaronVonTactics id say go against 1 star opponents or 2 star opponents, and juat use your veterans, alot of sheild guys, and a couple of otjer infantry, they level up based on building damage, so the less soldiers you have out, the more they will level up, also use tear gasses, so you can stip your vetrans from getting killed by explosives or choke points

Estanislau Queta I just started playing GU last Sunday all because of Baron. It's tough because allot of bases & units are well equip, i'm lvl 19 now with a base of 1,900+ power.

Attack Tips: 1) Grunts are the backbone of your army until you unlock Rangers - use your early valor points to get them three perks asap, then equip Health, Damage and Fire Rate / Minimum Wage 2) Used a mixed force when attacking - Grunts are great at taking the hits from enemy towers but have trouble by themselves, add a healer and 2 heavy hitters (rocketeers / machine guns) to the mix and you'll see better results. The grunts have a shorter range generally and will keep your more valuable units safe behind a wall of grunts 3) Use 1-2 attack cards per fight - I'd generally take one attack power and one boost (like munitions or health). You get 3 back with a successful win so you'll gradually get a huge surplus of cards. 4) Best Attack Cards - I'd say all these have their place, Paratroopers dropped behind a wall of towers, Focus Fire a building at the back of their base to kill everything in the line of sight, Tear Gas to take out troops and disable towers temporarily, Decoy in the center of a bunch of enemy troops / towers and they'll kill themselves and distract their troops while you advance. 5) Hero Units - If your lucky enough to get a hero card you'll love the Mercenaries, these guys pack a heck of a punch and seem to live forever. 6-10 of these guys with a Commando, a healer and the rest grunts will win you any match 6) Don't underestimate Medics - I use 1-2 for every single attack, they will keep your valuable troops alive and will generally always live to the end of the fight as they have a longer range than grunts and don't get shot as much Defense Tips: 1) Don't destroy many big rocks in your base - try and use them along with placement of walls to funnel the enemy towards a center bottleneck which will be your kill zone, natural hazards are nice because they can't be destroyed by explosions. 2) Don't neglect your defense - you can get a constant stream of munitions and cards from winning defenses, I find I get attacked 20-30 times a day and win about 75% of them, each win will give you 3 cards and a few thousand munitions, trust me it adds up. Not to mention the really good rewards you can get from surviving 8-10 minutes in a CPU defense. 3) Overlapping fire - Try and have 1-2 bunkers with overlapping fire at your chokepoint, behind and slightly to the side of the bunkers put 1-2 sniper towers so that all their firing areas are overlapped. Sniper towers can shoot further than bunkers so their kill zones overlap. 4) Trip Wire - Put this right in front of your kill zone so the enemy has to pass through it slowly, keeps them in your kill zone for longer 5) Explosive Barrels - position each barrel where enemy troops naturally stop to attack your furthest out tower, you'll notice you tower will quickly destroy the barrel and kill 5-10 enemy troops right off the bat. (use CPU defense to test the placement to ensure you don't get your own troops by mistake) 6) CPU Defense - In addition to the above points the key to surviving for a long time is good usage of attack cards to take out key enemy troops at your bottleneck. I try and ensure I kill every enemy Rocketeer before they reach my towers. I will use a decoy on them to get their other troops to kill them, or maybe drop a firebomb at the bottleneck, etc. 7) Set up sandbags in front of your line of towers - set up a few rows of sandbags so you troops can occupy and add more support to your towers and more guns on your bottleneck, your troops will draw the enemy fire first while your towers blast them, remember your troops will keep spawning but your towers don't, so let your troops take as much dmg as possible while keeping your towers alive. 8) Set up 2 walls in front of your headquarters / mortar - will keep the enemy from getting a cheesy win with Focus fire, remember Mortars can fire over walls but enemies cant. 9) Good tower upgrade levels - Sniper towers really shine at L3 when they get a second sniper, Bunkers are great at L3 as well, Mortars get good at 6 barrels (I think L4). Don't need to upgrade air defense too much if you have a good central placement, upgrade tents to L2, Last but not least my general attack strategy with 30 unit cap. I always start right off the bat with 20 grunts, 2 medics, 1 commando, 1 rocketeer and 6 mercenaries. (use Rangers if you dont have mercenaries and double up on rocketeers if you don't have commandos) I use starting attack cards to generally take out mortars and to help get past the first few bunkers / bottlenecks. You'll notice you'll generally only lose grunts and maybe a mercenary or two so just keep pumping out grunts and mercenaries and you'll win easily. Medics will generally keep your higher value troops alive and you'll only lose grunts. As you are nearing the win ensure you have the maximum amount of troops out to get a big point bonus and hopefully get 3 stars. I hope you found the above useful to you as you start playing the game, it should get you off to a good start. Much of it is subjective based on my experience and some wont agree with me but lets try and keep this thread constructive and supportive of new players, so if you have some helpful advice, let me know and i'll add it to the list.

The loot you get from destroying 5 enemy bases is based on how hard they were. Try defeating a few nightmare skulls to get better loot from that crate reward thing

LIKE SO BARON CAN SEE! My defense idea: What you might want to do is put up like tank traps then put mini gun and rocket guys behind them with some engineers and you could have either mortars or snipers behind them with a A-A gun to protect that spot with some bunkers there to then at the back either put tent's and if your able to keep a choke point with the spare stuff you got, use them to create a choke point

TIPP: Use ONLY Grunts at the begining to scout! Destroy the Barrels. If they Squad is too strong for 20 Grunts. Spawn a Riot and wait a little bit. Then Spawn all you Big Guns ( Units + some Grunts. 2 Grunts squad because they have low health and then you get not a good killstreak ). Break throug a different way! And you dont need a Focus Fire at a Grunt Base. Ok? And if you fight against Nightmares then use Ammo Cards! Buy some attack cards while you not recording. Maybe 200k buying for them.
