After a lifetime of studying , I would have to say the Buson/Bach Chaconne is among the finest pieces written for the keyboard . And to think the inspiration for it was Bach's VIOLIN Partita . Can you imagine any violin producing the flourishes of this keyborard masterpiece , albeit the violin is so beautiful in its own special way .

The choice for the piano to play Baroque music is rather... interesting. It would make more sense to play it on a harpsichord, virginals or spinet.

In terms of sound fidelity, faithfulness, playing Bach, Scarlatti, Haendel, Rameau and Couperin on a piano is like playing Chopin on an organ.

Baroque music for keyboard is supposed to be played on a harpsichord, or at the most, on a clavichord.
