I really like mine after I straightened the barrel. It was shooting very high with the rear sight all the way down but I figured out a way to fix it. With the plastic piece out that holds the tip of the barrel the barrel would drop down and almost touch the bottom of the shroud so it would have to come up 5/16 of an inch or more to be in the center of the shroud and like I said I was able to get it so it sets in the center without anything forcing it in any direction. Its probably more accurate now than I'm able to shoot it.

I have a easy way to load a pellet in the 1866. Use a STUBBY hex allen wrench of the CORRECT size and place you pellet GENTLY on the STUBBY end to Gently place the pellet into the chamber. Trust me, it WORKS and will make your shooting easier and more enjoyable!

The recommend method is Safety On, Bolt Back, PUMP, then load AMMO (pellet, BB tilt gun up), close bolt. Not load AMMO first. I found good way to load Pellets - place one on the ridge beside the chamber, then push (roll) it into the chamber. BTW: During the Push to roll pellet in -- make the gun in a level position so pellet goes in chamber and not up into the frame.

Does it gets harder to pump the more you pump it cuz i noticed mine doesn't I also get like a huffing or puffing sound when I am pumping it

Yes it will get harder as you pump. but you should not exceed 10 pumps

I found 4 to 6 pumps at 41 feet gives about the same result. Think one pump be pretty weak.

No it's pump. The lever action in this one is how you pump the gun.
