What did we do wrong? Is it the wrong time of year for mub crabs?

Look for little creeks and drains and put your pots in the mouths of them mate, also spread them out a bit, each pot fishes about 100m off water so you can space them out around 100m apart, it was good to see you catch a couple of fish tho, shame they weren't legal. P.s. when using mullet , thraw them and heavily salt them a day or 2 beforehand, yes they stink but the crabs love em

Good to see you back in action making videos.! Try chicken frames for muddies fish/fish frames are better for sandies 🤙🏿🤙🏿 keep up the good work boss

Big tides good for crabs, neap tides good for Barra, generally speaking.

We had chicken frames in 2 of the pots. Both of those pots got destroyed by sharks or crocs. Haha.

Mate, you did an episode in the past few weeks where it looked like you locked yourself in a creek for the low tide. It was a good one. You caught a couple of Barra and what looked like sand crabs or blue swimmers. I'd love to pick your brain and find out what tide that was and where. I really want to do a catch and cook with Barra and Crabs.

I had my best day fishing up here in 2 years (since I've been here) yesterday. 7 fish on lures in a few hours, 2 legal barra and a 68 which was dinner.. Buff Creek has a million people with crab pots out
@MikeyCunninghamFishing5 жыл бұрын
Nice one mate. 2 legal Barra any day, anywhere, I would be happy with. With the crabs, my father-in-law usually cleans up on crabs there. Not sure what was going on on the day.

What was the tide doing when you got your Barra there?
@andeeaye5 жыл бұрын
@@MikeyCunninghamFishing It was around low tide at Leaders Creek.. Seems like the fish are biting at the moment..

Hey Mikey, I used to work on a barra baot for about 10 years. We usually use barramundi heads or any big fish heads for crab bait or catch a shark an use dat. They work really good. Just thought I'd let ya know
@MikeyCunninghamFishing5 жыл бұрын
10 years.... crikey. You must have seen a thing or 2 in your time. I'll give the heads a go when I go crabbing again.

Hey mate just wondering where did you get the shimano Calais dc from?
@MikeyCunninghamFishing4 жыл бұрын
My old man reckons you can’t buy it in Australia. He got it online from Japan I reckon. Incredible reel aye. Way better than you’ll even need.

I am looking for the three TOP fishing moments of fishing youtubers (AUSTRALIA ONLY) to form part of a new series I am making. It is a great time to boost your reach on KZbin as so many people are stuck at home with not much else to do. The aim of this series is to show my audience (nearly 20K subscribers) all the other awesome content available, with referral links straight to your channel. The more exciting and awesome the moments you provide, the more people will want to go check out your channel. (meaning more views and subs) Each of the 3 ‘moments’ must fit within these requirements: -A maximum duration of 1 minute -Minimum or no swearing preferred (a lot of kids watch the channel) -No music overlay -No title or logo overlay -Must be a minimum of 1080p - Files will need to be shared via google drive. If you are interested in having your KZbin channel featured or have any questions, swing me a message on Facebook - LandfishTV
