Yes mate. Greg and Di. I didn’t see them in this latest trip, but I know them quite well. They are at Black Rock Landing, which is half way to Batten Point. If you haven’t been since the 90’s... man you would see some changes there. The Sea Rangers have a massive boat shed there now that was built just a couple of years ago.

It’s a big question. In previous years Steve from NT Luxury Houseboats had hire boats. But he’s not operating this year. I might be letting the cat out of the bag on this one... but the Punt you see in Part 1, Ash would like to get in survey so he can day hire it out. It’s not going to be ready for a while. But it’s one of my favourite boats for Barra fishing. Correction... my favourite.

It’s Ash’s big boat “5 O’Clock Somewhere”. It’s a Cairns Custom Craft boat. About 9 metres I reckon. Ash runs a charter business called NT Coastal Fishing Charters. That’s the boat he takes people out in the islands with.

Yea mate. Different rules here in the NT. I actually recently read a report made for the Qld Government about keeping female mud crabs. It was written by a scientist back in 2010. One of the key points in the summary said they found no scientific evidence to justify continuing the keeping of female mud crabs illegal. I found it interesting anyway. 👍🏼🤠
