Wouldn't worry about the cracking up the stairs the timber strings are moving because all wood does eventually and now your plaster walls are beginning to fully dry out so in short they're moving from eachother. It's not structural all the snagger will do is remove the cracked paint caulk the area and repaint to finish👍

Thank you for all your videos on this house 🙏🏼 we are moving in one in January and I was reading looking for how you can arrange furniture in the house just to make an idea how big the room’s actually are. Can you please tell me the measurements for that storage room as you come in? How tall my shoe rack can be? Thanks a lot

Good morning again how are the joining walls do you get much noise from nieghbours coming through. Great place looking great 👍
@lucylaming50742 жыл бұрын
Thank you :). We’ve been very lucky with our neighbour who travels a lot, however when he is there, all you can here is the front door going and if they are heavy footed or running up and down the stairs - especially dogs. Other than that you cant hear a thing!

Hey Nice video.. just wondering If those cracks are some thing to worry about as they r developed so early in a brand new house?
@lucylaming50743 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks! Cracks are to be expected from all new builds and we are covered by barratt for 2 years I think on things like this. We have to wait for the house to go through all the seasons while it settles. What does concern me though is the amount of cracking on the stairs on a 3 storey house... just hope it’s not dangerous. Should probably point out yes we’ve been in 5 months but it was constructed a year ago and then COVID delayed us

@@lucylaming5074 Thankyou for the reply..we r looking at Queensville barratt home, 1091 square feet one..( same layout as yours ) if u don’t mind can u plz provide me the size of your home n garden as well.. so that i can relate with the one we r looking at. Nice house! We are also planning to buy Rochester house type from Barratt and it has exactly the layout as yours. Have you reported the cracks yet? How is your Barratt experience overall? Thanks guys for finding out some time to share your valuable feedbacks 😊
@lucylaming50742 жыл бұрын
Thank you! No we haven’t reported yet, we keep forgetting about it haha. Overall our experience was great with Barratt the only negative was being kept in the dark throughout lockdown. They’ve been great otherwise :)

Have they fixed your snagging issues yet? Bit worrying those cracks!
@lucylaming50743 жыл бұрын
We haven’t asked them too yet. Gonna let the house settle fully. Then will get them sorted :)

I am planning to buy this type. How is this trewting uou after 3 years. Any advice for new buyer?
@lucylaming50743 ай бұрын
What we’ve learnt after 3 years is to keep doors shut most of the time as the house is settling, we didn’t and now some of our doors don’t align / shut properly. Cracks are normal and inevitable and upon closer inspection and our kitchen seems rushed. Should probably get a snag check done if you’ve got the budget to! We’ve had no major issues at all, that is really nitpicking the bad bits :) all the best for your move!

Really poor quality... especially cladding & insulation materials. Dodgy leaseholds as well! Avoid!
