I was a grommet watching your Dad win Pipe plaster and all. Your Dad Michael, Dane, Larry, Buttons, Owl, were charging big North Shore Barrels, Next thing Im 18 and surfing with them at Burleigh during the Stubbies. O was sitting in the waves trying to figure how they surfed the way they did. Wreckless abandon comes to mind. Now I watch the family surfing and you Mason have more wreckless abandon than I have ever seen out of any one. I love it beings a sense of pure fun to surfing that not many others demonstrate. Your talent and interpretation of what can be done on a wave is genius and comedy wrapped up together. Your sister Coco has one of the best styles in womens surfing. Derek was a charging style master. You have given your Dad another dimension to old dog surfing. Your family has given pleasure to me most of my surfing life and you continue that legacy on. Thankyou very much to all the Ho family. From a kiwi way down the South of our country. The ripples do travel Arohanui Matt and family..❤

When I was a child my father was stationed at Pearl Harbor and I learned to surf on what was called a "tanker" board of around 7 or 8 foot I think, it has been over 50 years since then, it was a monster...I miss the ocean, the waves and the freedom of just being on the beach...Although I was no pro, not even close, I still had a ball...
