Real emp bombs utilise a charged coil surrounding a metal cylinder packed with explosives, basically making an intense magnetic feild thats ruptured when the internals are detonated, creating the pulse. Nukes create the pulse by disrupting the ionosphere at high altitudes Thatchers emp supposedly combines both of these and ministurises them, having fissile material that creats a "self contained microscopic fission reaction" housed within a charged coil that creats an artificial ionosphere

For the F2 itself reduced recoil and getting a grip again but to compensate reduce the damage to 36 or lower from 37 so that it take one more shot against 2 speeds would make it more reliable to hit but not shred as much in terms of TTK.

I had this idea for a good while now when just thinking about op concepts. A defender who has bulletproof shields (they'll be much easier to see through than regular shields) similar to pre-rework Goyo. But instead of fire, the shields launch shrapnel on the floor when destroyed.

Idea for Brava: Your six hacks are shared between the drones and you. You have three hacks and then a, maybe 20 seconds, cooldown before you can hack with the same drone again. Additional you yourself can hack gadgets directly. This wouldn't make you useless anymore if you lose one or two drones, however you would need to get out of cover and get close to the gadgets yourself.

Why should Brava not become useful when she has no more drones? When an operator nolonger has an ability, they become a perfect entry fragger which is something very important in siege. Thatcher, Thermite, Ash, Twitch all lose their ability when it's spent or when they've lost the drones and become entry fraggers.

I had an idea for a new Rainbow Six Siege operator with a unique oil spill gadget, which could work for either Attack or Defense. The gadget would deploy like Maverick's blowtorch or could create a larger, spread-out area similar to Tubarão's gadget. When activated, the oil spill covers a floor area, making anyone who steps on it slide, which would disrupt quick-peeking and could even cause operators to slip if they stay on it too long. It could also give a slight speed boost while on the oil, adding a risk/reward factor for players moving through it. Plus, operators who walk through the oil would leave oily footprints that slowly fade, giving away their trail for a brief period. This would add a new layer of strategy, as the gadget could be used for both tracking and zone control.

I'm not waiting for another fire operator on defense, so if it would ignite i would want it on attack (although both teams should be able to ignite it.) i think with other fire gadgets would be fair, so goyo tachanka capitao, and the opp self with a lighter.

I had a similar idea where the oil would a trap placed on the top door frames blinding the enemy when triggered and would need to be removed like a leison mine. The oil could still be used in your way by remotely activating the trap like goyo flame canister.

Really seems like a good idea. Kinda like castle where you’d need something more than the standard melee (unless you hit it too many times that’s not viable). Like castle needing an explosive to destroy in one action. The flaps on the net barrier would be pretty cool. Taking the idea of turning an operators attention to a different part of the screen to leave them to react slower as well as causing a sound que. I look at banshe, aruni, and fenrir for a similar design philosophy.

OPERATOR IDEA Operator Name: Slick (oil grenades) Orientation: Defense, soft roamer Gadget: grenades that expel oil over an area that last for 15 seconds. if you stand in it, it sticks to your boots and continues the effect 10 seconds after it is has evaporated from the area. TLDR, slower peeking and movement in general, maybe even falling if the attacker sprints in it or with it on their boots. The oil conserves momentum. So if someone walks or strafes, it is harder to change direction and go back the other way. you take longer to come to a stop. if you sprint on the oil, you can let go of the sprint and movement buttons and you'll still slide a little. This is relevant in a gunfight or throwing secondary grenades quickly into a doorway or window. if the oil is present and you strafe to peek, you cant just cancel it. you keep moving longer than normal and the speed with which you strafe back into cover is slower. Harder to escape C4s as a shield player. Can either be remote detonated, proximity, on contact, or cook like yings. this just depends on balance. Can use the oil on the floor of headholes, down hallways facing a mira, on key doorways into site, below hatches, on stairs, etc. can be used late round to deny gun fights, make a retake easier. Should be a color that makes it clear that it is on the ground, can get rid of it using flame from capitao and mav, it is gone in a couple seconds Primary: M12 or UMP45 - low fire rate, low recoil, low damage. obvious disadvantage to attacker guns, but the gadget might bring the odds closer together. Forces you to choose fights wisely and have good mechanics and crosshair placement Secondary: PMM: nice pistol super shorty: setup site, make rotates secondary utility: similar to smoke in that these tell you when to pop the oil and good util that makes up for lesser quality guns proximity mines barbed wire speed: 2 armor: 2

New op ability: A trap like a Kapkan, but when you run though it, it sets off fire like a goyo. It only lasts 10 secs, and deals ten-twenty damage per second. THANK YOU for speaking out on this "Siege realistic" BS. Imo 90% of that discourse just stems from Siege having had a different atmosphere a couple years ago and the visual design of the gadgets. None of the gadgets are super "realistic" and none of them are crazy futuristic either. Vastly more important is how it feels from a gameplay perspective. I don't mind getting experiment with the gadgets at all, though I have to say that some certainly could look a lot better if Ubisoft wanted to. And once you make that visual change you'll see a lot fewer people complain about "realism". At the end of the day you are playing a video game so it'll always be "unrealistic" to a certain degree.

Attacker flank watch that is just watson from apex, can place them freely for creative plays but reliably use them at the sides of door ways to block flanks. Could function like aruni gate, lasers going down for attackers but if defendeds want to go through they either need a projectile waste, find a way to shoot the pole stands on either side, or just eat the 50 or so damage

I think a neat idea for a Sens buff would be to mess with the audio of the screens. For instance maybe it muffles or distorts sound so it’s hard to tell what is happening on the other side or where exactly on the other side it’s happening. This would also be pretty balanced because it would go both ways so you could use the screen to cover a plant but it would also make it more difficult to hear the nitro that gets ripped.

I think sens should have an ear device similar to a hearing aid where he can hear through his ability, I think as long as no other operators have it, it would be fair since the rest of the team would be relying on you to be their ears while they plant or put pressure on, it would make him to an absolute garbage operator to a balanced operator, with glaz you could make him and glaz one of the best quick plant combos

I've had this defender idea for years that I want your opinion on. Imagine a defender that has 2 or 3 of these foldable little standing walls they unfold and set out. Imagine the little standing changing rooms curtain things. These curtains that are set up would funnel incoming rounds back towards the attackers. To keep it from just straight up being a shield you could make the feet exposed when behind the curtain still and make the material like partially visible. Attackers could still guess shapes of what was behind these glossy bulletproof curtains. they could take up like 3 or 4 feet width (maybe half of a hallway) You could even put them behind a soft wall or reinforcement so that attackers prefiring a soft service may receive ricochet damage back. (no headshots on ricochets)

On the pistol scopes, I believe Ubi had said sometime around Deadly Omen (in regards to Deimos' new gun) that the old code in Siege makes it too difficult to add sights to pistols, so they can only do it integrated with brand new weapons.

I was thinking of something like the barricade net but its need to be an attacker gadget that is basically hanging barbwire that can be deployed on any surface (similar to aruni but only head height) and its ability is that you can shoot through it but you can't walk through it without damage or a bleed effect similar to frost but you can destroy it with a melee attack or explosives its to stop late game rotates and to stop swinging through doorways or openings.

They should add a Gangster Op like similar to the gangsters from Saints row 1-4. Having a gangster op will give us a lot of content to enjoy because we can have weapons we don't have in a Siege perspective. Guns like the AK-47, Tommy gun and the sawn off shotgun can be introduced. Giving them the Ops name as 'Saint' would be fire. Their ability should be giving more ammo to their team like a ammo crate but if they do not drop their ammo crate down and die, then the opposing team grab the ammo or refill their gadget. To balance it for both sides, each player can only grab one type of ammo only, whether its primary, secondary or their gadget for the whole of the round. This would make a whole lot of sense to introduce a new gangster op with this ability too.

I like your collab idea for an attacker with a barricade launcher, and honest five hits fits perfectly bc there are five metal piece in the picture you showed as an example, I like to imagine that the slowing effect would be like when you get downed by a frost mat, except the timing can be less based on how many of the hinges you break before you jump through. Pistols having 1.0x sights just makes sense, and most fights don't involve pistols anyways so it wouldn't change much. The only gadget I would say is unrealistic is azami's kiba barrier, and it's not even the idea of the gadget itself, it's just the presentation, bc there is almost no way those throwing knives can hold that much material, or that she would be able to actually throw it the way she does with how much they way. Also expanding on the 6v6 or 10v10 game modes, I would love a game mode or event on tower, where it's all the attacker against all the defenders, with all the bombsites in play at the same time, with all the reinforcement the defenders would need to match the bombsites, imagine the chaos that would be. I imagine that this game mode would have to be roughly 15 minutes a round, so it could probably only be 3 rounds long, so instead of being based on rounds won, it could be based on points, if the attackers would have to defuse at every set of bombsites, then they could get a point for every defuse they successfully complete, and the defenders get a point for every site still in play, and to give the attack an interesting buff, I would let them pick up a defuse they have already used, so they can use it again. But the idea of an over 50 player game mode would probably crash the game, and the que times would probably be incredibly long.

First of all, cool video. One of my ideas would be something like interactive map elements. For example, on Bank, using a grenade or Capitao's arrows in the basement could activate the sprinkler system to create loud noises and visibility restrictions. Or, using Bandit's battery to power a generator that moves the elevator. Or using a grenade - and only a grenade - thrown into an opening to completely turn off the lights in a specific area. There's so much potential to explore with these kinds of elements. What do you think of this idea?

I think that instead of thunderbird being strictly unable to heal attackers, it should require an animation of some sort much like reinforcing but maybe a bit faster. It allows for attackers to still gain health, but at the cost of time and if played wrong (much like a person defusing) their life. Additionally by making people have to do an animation, more people will just shoot the stations. The final thing I would suggest is a slight buff to the recharge time.

i remember the blackbeard rework concept that included almost like a tether gadget that could be used to block off major areas and i want to expand on it. This operator could have 4 tethers and have two uses; one of them being a zipline anchor. The operator can aim where the zipline will go and use it for quick and safe access to rooftops for him and his team. The second option being what we saw in the blackbeard rework.

I think Zero should have an ability to choose if his camera will pierce through the surface before he shoots from his gadget. Simillar to Grim's ability to swap between ricochet and non-ricochet options. This simple QoL addition will help him to stay involved in actions around and get an information from his teammates/spectators a little bit faster. Best counter for the net would be Tubby ( he can throw one of his ice canisters at the net making it easier to break with a knife so it’ll take 2 melee hits), Oryx (literally just ram through it but it takes longer to go through it) Azami (she throws one of her barriers at the net interlocking with it making possible for her to melee it in 3 hits), C4s other explosives. Oryx has long been a pretty unused and underappreciated operator. Here are two changes I’ve thought about that might help him get his pickrate up. - Remove dmg taken when dashing through walls aswell as reduce the disorient effect. - If Oryx dashes into a shield op certain debuffs will be applied. For Blitz, the damage from the impact of the dash will remove 1 flash charge from his shield. Monty will have a slower full extend time, and fuze will have the glass part of his shield break (not shatter). The glass will still be bulletproof but cracked and harder to see out of. Personally this would make Oryx into a really sick anti shield roamer while not making him super OP. Maybe also give blitz the cracked glass effect.

What if there was an operator for defense that basically had 2 maybe 3 of their ability, and the ability would be kinda like a Kaplan trap, but it could stick to walls, and it would shoot out one bullet whenever someone walked in front of it, it would also have i small maybe half-second delay time before it shot. I think the net should just be the net part from your idea, but not the wood part. you could keep the under barrel part because you could make it weaker to compensate for the speed. it wouldn't provide visual cover, but defenders could not walk through it. in order to break it, you could either use an explosive, or stand in front of it and tear it down, just like a castle barricade. this means you have to commit to removing it if you want to, which I think makes it powerful enough.

What if fire left a aftermath effect where when operators step into the hot surface, they won't get burnt or take damage but make noise that it is still too hot step on despite the fire being gone. It would buff tac so he would get more audio cues if needs burn an area again but doesn't waste his grenades' on 2 spots consistently and buff goyo so he knows when has to come in for the win also probably capitao as well so he wouldn't need to bring claymores if someone comes in behind him. Generally capitao and tac would be able save their secondary gadget slot for something better like a shield or hard breach.

I love that each op drone has its own shape and design, but I've noticed not every drone hole is created equal, especially those with external covers. Do you think drones should be formatted to be closer to uniform size or should they just tweak drone holes themselves? Thanks!

Can you imagine an operator that sets up a tiny little cam on doorways and windows? Like a kapkan trap but a more conspicuous one, and the ability to flip it on the doorframe. For example, if you place the cam on top of oregon main stairs, you could flip it to see down the stairs, and flip it back to see into armory? I think it'd be better to make it a bulletproof cam which breaks through grenades, ashes, breaching charges or melee hits.

What would you think of adding an operator with perma-smokes as a gadget? Maybe even as a Sense re-work? Could be the Thather EMP to the Impact EMPs. Just two grenades that create smoke clouds that don't dissipate. I'd imagine them to stick to any surface so you could smoke the ceiling if needed. Or even implement the Grim thing where you could choose for them to be sticky or bounce once.

kudos, what do you think of a defender with reinforced reinforcements that are only hard breacheable by certain hard breach gadgets e.g. maverick, thermite, hibanna/ ace etc? (edit: this makes it more necessary to bring a specific hard breach operator rather then the secondary hard breach gadget)

I think what would be better is maybe an operator who can reinforce an already reinforced wall again after it's broken. Though that might be extremely overpowered depending on how many they get. It could also be completely useless if they don't get it up fast enough.

It's nearly impossible to buff Caveira without altering her loadout (M12 is so ass and some loadout buffs might make her OP). So let me see if I can try this... For Silent Step, I'll leave it alone. For The silent step is kinda inconsistent to mid because nowadays with so much things to counter her flank like Zero with his 6 fucking cams, Trax from Gridlock, Nomad's Air jab, newly buffed claymores, and the humble drone . Bonus some players' headset can counter her because even with "silent step" I along with some players can hear her, plus the silent step is countered if understand basic flanks on maps and teams coordinating. For interrogation the high rise, high reward... I say you change it a bit but it doesn't completely ruin her loop. An idea I had make her interrogate slightly faster, if she catches an attacker (who's standing still, probably droning or holding a pixel. They CAN'T BE DOWNED so there's a difference for the 2 interrogations) *press her ability when when she's close (1m so there's still risk here and it's knifing distance anyway)* and she will do a sped up interrogation, however it won't reveal the whole squad but instead reveal the closest person to her (this at least the next "victim" knows they're next and needs to be start to prepare a counter attack). But to help with this have her voice lines split up so players know audio wise and visually if she only revealed you or the squad. Edit: At least she still maintains her stuff but added something to get some attackers to communicate a bit more (if all their flank watch tools are gone or not in best of positions) while maintaining her risk factor.

He Kudos! Wondering if you’d think any of the gadgets introduced in Extraction could be fun, either as new general gadgets or as part of a new operator. The Scan Grenade for instance could be fun, but would likely be very weak if available for several operators compared to being the gimmick of a single op; but at the same time being available for several attackers would help lineups which don't contain any intel ops like Dokkaibe or Jackal - and the Scan Mine could similarly be an interesting defender gadget (though for balance purposes would probably go off for a few seconds and need to be reset - possibly bulletproof until it's activated? probably a lower range as well, or have it be blocked by walls and such)

How about a magazine/ammo attachment for weapons. Say for lmg's you can take less ammo for faster movement and faster reload, and for shotguns, you can change it from a buckshot to a slug or vice versa?

They should launch a limited time mode where operators switch sides. Attackers become defenders and Defenders become attackers. The only change is attackers (who are now defending) can reinforce walls. I think I’d be a blast

I had a pretty similar idea to the first topic for a black beard rework. Instead of him having a glass gun shield maybe he would have a castle like barrier but instead its maybe of glass and maybe its not as strong as a caslte and somewhat smaller but he could maybe shoot it and pick it up for later. So he turns more into a flank counter type op. Sorry if this is worded badly.

They should add a defender with hard breach. This would allow for rotates or door ways in a reinforced wall stopping attackers shooting you through the soft wall.

IMO, while it sounds nice on paper, I feel like you’d have trouble finding games for these LTE games. Look at CoD, plenty of times all game modes besides SnD, TDM, FFA, and like Gungame just keep you on a perpetual “searching for match” cycle

I think a better option would be to constantly revolve an event. 1 event playlist, and the usual standard, quick match, ranked, arcade etc… That way there will always be enough players in the playlists and events are more fun as they aren’t overdone

they should allow optic options on the pistols with sights defaultly on the gun if they don’t want all pistols to have optics. For example, putting a holo on Ela’s pistol, or using iron sights on the Bailiff.

I want an attack op which is more suited for healing, yes Finka can heal but I feel like there could be more. I had the idea of an Op with defibrillators which allow you to pick up a team mate up to 75% health or maybe allows them to be downed again without flat out dying the next time they’re knocked.

Listening to your twitch and thunderbird ideas i have some suggestions for both of them -Give twitch back her foregrip for the F2. However, nerf the gun damage from 37 to maybe 34-35 as to not make the gun overpowered. -Make Thunderbirds Kona stations throwable instead of needing to place them down. Im thinking this would make her overall more fast paced to play since she can be pretty slow. And also actually make her a decent option over doc aswell. since she can throw the station cross site in that case. or hide them like fenrir gadgets. With the ability to throw them she could also throw one under herself if she knew she would get into a gunfight. giving her a tiny heal mid gunfight. I think these two changes would definitely improve usage rates for both the F2 and twitch overall since i feel like a lot of people (like myself) don't like using DMRs so they still use the F2 and due to the recoil you rarely use her. And for thunderbird give her a bigger pickrate without making her broken. Also giving her more prep time to reinforce since she can just throw her things now.

They should add a blackout ability for an attacking opp. This would disable all lights and defending cameras. Would probably last about 10-15 seconds.

What do you think about quantity buff (1 extra pest for Mozzie & 2 extra cams for Zero for example) over the quality buff? It can help underperforming operators, but I do aware that buffing gadget numbers can create “utility meta”. I enjoy the utility over tdm meta, but not everyone will agree on that topic.

Building on the concept of the net, what if you had an operator on defense who could put up iron bars like on the windows of Bank, maybe only one or two in total, you can completely close off a window at expense of allowing vision for both sides. I think it could be interesting as forcing the opponents to take a different route is cool, but it obviously could be broken with any type of hard breach as to not make it extremely overpowered

you should be able to move when you are using oryxs ability and it should work like nokks ability instead of 3 individual charges, its one big charge that you hold down to use and it recharges like normal

What u think about a attacking operator that has a tracking ability exactly like demos but it’s shoots like a mini arrow that gets stuck in the operator ur tracking knocks them take like 5 damage (that’s it) and u have a animation like rook when u pull the bullets out but u pull the arrow out

What do you think about this op idea? 3 speed 1 health Ability: enhanced senses The op takes a syringe of coke and now sees the world in black and white but enemies are bright colored (similar to glaz) and have a small aura around them to see them peak just before they actually do. Also unhearable or quiet sounds are now more obvious. But flashes, stuns and other things that effect hearing and seeing now have a increased effect

Ok so when it comes to thunder bird, seeing as I play on console I feel part of the reason she doesn't get pick as often is the recoil on her gun and she doesn't have a very good alternative weapon of choice because the shoutgun isnt all that great either. What do you think if some gadgets would shut down, once the operator dies. For example a Fenrir F-Natt, or Aruni Gate. A lot of Attack-Gadgets aren't properly or complety usable if the Operator dies. I personally think that could bring more balancing options to the game.

What if siege used some similar mechanics with fire and smokes, as cs2? Smoke granades would extinguish fire, explosives would remove smoke. This would make gameplay more dynamic for both sides, rather than waiting 20 seconds, because goyo was popped.

Tatcher could have been given car jump leads and a big battery instead of emp grenades so the emp would hit all of the wall it would counter breaches kaided from below its more realistic it would be a really large buff
