I don’t really think it was a shield buff. Before the rework you could just hit someone and that’s it you killed him. Now you just push them and have to melee one or twice. Ubisoft is just killing its game making it unplayable. Granada rework was stupidest rework ever made when literally defenders run around with a C4 with even more control.

Solis is still good, P90 is more used but personally I'm even fine with secondary and shotgun, pulse without c4 would be top five less picked defenders for sure almost, we have to see how much the incoming shotgun buff does, but rn the loadout is too bad if you remove c4 (even if impacts are given still nerfed, maybe not that bad tho)

Damn, I didn't know you couldn't anymore. I don't play Siege anymore because literally every change Ubisoft has made just makes the game less fun. When this game first came out I put thousand of hours into it, but played less and less over time. My favorite time in the game was season 3 and it just got worse and worse over time after that.

Exactly. As a frost main this is so stupid. Imagine if kapkan doesn't kill you and just give you leg damage when you run through it? Both kapkan and frost punish people who dont drone, if you fall into a frost mat, its not "unfair", its their fault for not droning out. Heck, its so easily countered by jumping, looking down and shooting it. I wouldn't complain so much if they gave frost 4 mats to her to counter the nerf, but nope. Just straight nerf for no reason what so ever. Rainbow Nerf Siege. God forbid making other operators viable, just nerf them to the ground. RIP Jager.

I don't really mind that frost mats aren't an instant kill anymore, I say that as someone who puts frost in their top three favorite ops. I've played solo queue before, sometimes you'll just be completely abandoned by your team because you hit a frost mat somewhere random across the map. It's not the same as Kapkan, he has to use 2-3 of his traps to get a 100% lethal trap setup, where as frost got 3 "You're basically dead" mats to use as she needed. Can a teammate help you out? Sure, but if it's out of the way, or you're in a dangerous spot, there's a good chance they won't. Where I think they went wrong was making getting out of the frost trap like a 2 second thing, It's a bear trap, it should take at least 10 seconds in my opinion, that way if you don't drone in, and someone is there to punish that, you get killed, but if it's just a random mat across the map with no one nearby you're not just done for the round.

Frost nerf was fine, you still have a death sentence and she had acog/shotgun. Like imoble for 5 seconds, 80 hp gone, loud audio cue, slows them down and leaves visible trail for a good time, those traps still are crazy effective when they go off. She's not a brain dead lazy op like before, and her gun(s) have been buffed several times. The weakness in the traps is their consistency, not the power.

The worst part is when they land into a mat and I have to rush there as fast as humanely possible to kill them before they pick themself up. The amount of times that happens is frustrating (dying because i couldn't reach there fast enough since my frost mats are spaced on different windows). I guess it requires actual communication with teammates (god forbid)

It is still in game. You can break window and make hole basically invisible for attackers. Also it is easy to make hidden hole in long halls, very hard to see those.

The impact nerf was actually targeted towards impact tricking walls, if I remember correctly. It's very difficult to impact trick on sites like Throne room and Consulate basement because of the explosive radius being very small

Solis got nerfed into Oblivion. The first half was perfect, they made her more useless overall then Clash, as a Frost Main, I didn't see an issue with her rework. Only thing that pisses me off is if it's the last attacker, I.e 1vX. It should end the round, because it's a Downed but not Out status. On attack you only can ever enter that state if you have 2 or more attackers, grab Rook armor or have a Finka on your team

yea honestly you should see a problem with the Frost Rework. I dont think many people realize if you bring Finka if you notice a frost on defense in prep phase. If you step on a frost mat you can counter walking slow and the blood trail by just Finka Boosting. Ubisoft completely destroyed Frost as well. It doesnt make it any better that her gun is toilet juice.

@blackshadexl not really. First off, people would need to play Finka. On PC recoil is abyssmal, and console is worthless. 2nd, people play Frost the wrong way. They place and forget, instead of playing near them. Play near your mats, get the sound cue, swing and unless you have horrible timing, you catch them mid animation of breaking out

I do think the fenrir rework, other than his mines being breakable by bullets and twitch drones when closed, was pretty solid, as it was really annoying to lose an entire mine token just because one got destroyed. Seeing one get destroyed and being able to immediately turn on another makes the gameplay much smoother.

The reason behind the cameras not being allowed to be put out side anymore is because of 2021’s Bank Glitch. You could throw a Black Eye out side next to alley and you could scan everyone on the map where ever they went. I remember the weeks following no one was allowed camera’s outside anymore. Camera’s outside were largely encouraged at one point. But this glitch made them rethink camera’s entirely. Gave the Black Eye a Red orb instead of Blue making it the easiest thing to see on the planet.

Great video, I remember vividly the nerf to Lion. I started in White Noise, so the season before Chimera launched, and boy was he used a lot. I have an idea for a series, it would be a lot of work, but I think it would be really cool to do a video on every operator talking about every significant buff and nerf and their impacts in gameplay. You can put as many operators in each video you want to get it to a desired length of course, cause some operators and of course the newer operators have seen less changes.

I haven't been playing the past two seasons since Ubi started treating us like a cash machine with the premium BP and underwhelming content. Since the main guys in Montreal have all moved on you can feel the love of the game and the players is gone. I dont know if they'll ever get that magic back, but if they do I'll come back. I can't uninstall it, I want to play but I don't like being rug pulled when I paid for a year of BP and only got 3 out 4 seasons of it because they switched to premium in the last season.
