Yes, thank you! Is melatonin produced in the mitochondria, helping glutathione to deal adequately with excess ROS, an even better antioxidant than the glutathione? And since we ALL have accumulated the toxic metal lead in our bones over our lifetimes (100 to 100 times that found in prehistoric bones), and it comes out of bone along with calcium to help deal with physiologic stresses needing quick calcium inputs, the glutathione can be depleted quickly by the lead (said to be up to 60% depleted). So, it seems that melatonin can help a great deal when glutathione is depleted? And, quantum biology of light suggests that near infra red light dispersed through the body from daylight exposure, can enable melatonin in the mitochondria. IMHO, it is VERY important to see how the physics of light affects biology.

Great video, I think it's also important to mention that vitamin C is the main antioxidant to recycle vitamin E, so without sufficient vitamin C, the vitamin E may become prooxidant, that's why supplementing vitamin E does not reduce lipid peroxidation, because it must come from with a combination of vitamin C and glutathione since they are working together

I like Dr. Tan, but I have trouble discerning his main point here. Humans can't take vit E and gain antioxidant protection - the literature really does not support this. We can argue it, but at least the last time I looked at it, vit E - well, the argument now seems to go that yes, vit E is antioxidant, but if you consume it, will your body put it where it's needed? Not necessarily. It may be that our bodies are evolutionarily adapted to make and place antioxidants where ROS or free radicals are expected (by our inherited system) - and not necessarily where modern conditions (not reflected all that well, arguably, in our evolutionarily inherited system) cause ROS or free radicals to appear. Is he mostly speaking to how important oxidation is, instead?
