Since we don't get sun some nitroglycerin tablets are good for nitric oxide production. Nitric oxide is a HUGE health promotor you should make some videos on this if there's any informative doctors. Sun produces this in conjunction with vit D and has something to do with Sulfate and cancer.

Dr. Bikman is amazing. Could you (Dr. Bikman) discuss the optimum diet for loosing fat while maintaining/growing muscle? Mindfully with love and gratitude.

Check doctorstotrust.com and search on fat loss; or see Gabrielle Lyon’s section under Doctor’s menu. Could also check in at insuliniq.com. Ted Naiman has some great stuff on this as well.

Ok so in this presentation you say and suggest you shouldn't eat any saturated fats or cholesterol yet also say you shouldn't eat refined fats. Well it is ONLY refined fats thst are low in cholesterol and saturated fats. Even lean meats like chicken and tuna are high is cholesterol and salmon is quite high in saturated fats. So you are suggesting we shouldn't eat those? That sounds like a terrible. idea.
@doctorstotrust35525 сағат бұрын
As far as I know, Ted is for saturated fats, but when the body has excess fat to burn, eating less in the diet, along with low carb, will allow body to burn body fat for fuel. Seed oils are always bad in any situation. He does take a different approach than some of the other doctors here. You might want to search through doctorstotrust.com/fat-loss.

Very interesting. Some of the glucose requirements may be for the brain, testes, thyroid etc. I personally experiment between 50-80% of carbs depending when I feel like experimenting to see which rates are better. Exercise physiologist Alan Cousins from Bolder Colorado found 1 particular athlete training high volumes of Easy Running & cycling (possibly swimming too) @ 50-70% of vo2max for 2years inc conjuction with a reduction from his 70% carb diet to a 48% of total energy. Helped fat oxidation massively at that Aerobic intensity and fuelling combo. He was on 3300cal a day and could run an 18min 5k but was a big sugar burner. Multiple points were plotted as time went on his fat oxidation improved Dramatically. A big difference must be noted in deleting zone 4 & 5 training for extended time frame (fully glycolitic) and encouraging type I fibres to be the main wkly training stimulus from 50% to 70% heartrate reserve (Karvonen). Cheers

I have done intermittent fasting with an18 hour fast for the last two years. I am extremely lean some would call me skinny. The incredible thing I noticed was there seems to be some release of growth hormone. I have definitely put on more lean muscle than I did training at the gym in the last 10 years. I think it was because I may have been insulin resistant. Truly amazing. It also massively helped my heart problem (afib).

Thanks for your rational informative video. Common sense, which begs the question, why is common sense so uncommon these days? This subject is getting complex with different "experts" dishing out conflicting advice, all supported by peer-reviewed articles. I try to simplify life. Emperor is not wearing any clothes folks. Zero hard outcome data exists that "LMHRS" do not develop CVD like everyone else when ApoB is sky high for a long time. Dave knows this, yet he doesnt asvise his blind followers to use ApoB lowering therapies. Irresponsible at best, pure narcissist evil at worst.

@robertusga57 минут бұрын
@doctorstotrust3552 Dave only "liberates" if he has hard outcome data to prove his yet unproven hypothesis. He has none. You are, therefore, believing without evidence. Also known as wishful thinking. That is way worse than what "Big Pharma" can throw at us. Dave's attitude potentially kills people by not recommending ApoB lowering strategies for folks with sky-high ApoB, in the face of the data we have. Boggles the mind that you are willingly drinking that Kool-aid.

Dr. Weston was willing to overlook the Atkins company products (formulated after Atkins' tragic death, which was an accident, btw) for the reach the book would have using the Atkins name. The book honours the spirit of Dr. Atkins whose recommendations were in fact what the conventional wisdom was before the 1960s. The persecution he suffered from the medical establishment was emmense and should never be forgotten. I think every textbook on nutrition and health should begin with a full confession and apology to Dr. Atkins and his family.🇨🇦😌
