I had the 1.6 diesel in the previous focus model. I wouldn’t say it was sluggish but I did have a remap done which increased the bhp from 109 to 136. Can’t remember the figure for torque increase but it was noticeable. I would definitely buy this newer shape focus. I don’t care if people say they are boring, for me they have fresh styling and offer everything you need. I would probably buy the 2 litre diesel though.

No not really. It's quite sprightly actually. Plenty of power for everyday. It's a Peugeot engine really. They make the best diesels anyway. He really is right! With the gearbox and this 1.6 diesel, it really is everything you need. Had lots of experience with these. They really are great 👍 specially if you like driving. 🙂
