I have one of these mondeo’ s as an estate. I love this car so reliable and comfortable and pokey. Mine is 163ps titanium.

Absolutely brilliant cars! With this era of Mondeo they really did get everything right. We had a C - Class of the same era and personally I think the Mondeo felt more premium and undoubtedly was a much better car and design! Shame the newer Mondeo was such a let down. A rare miss from an otherwise great company who rarely get it wrong!

I have just bought the hatchback version and the max I am getting is 44mpg and that is motorway driving at 65 mph. The car is 2014, 2 litre with 32000 miles. I think there is a problem, any suggestions please ?

I found the same model with the same specs, thinking of buying it but its an automatic, heard alot about that transmission being unreliable. Would appreciate any kind of advice, i really like that model so any advice would be appreciated!

we've never had any problems with them, but according to the internet there are a few who have, im not sure that i cam but my faith in the internet anymore, there are too many moaners on it,

If the transmission oil is changed on schedule they're fine. If not, they can give trouble. I recently worked on one that was behaving badly, lurching, shuddering missing shifts, etc. It seemed likely there was a serious problem. But a couple of fluid and filter changes and a clutch/shift fork relearn made a huge difference. It probably didn't help that the genuine Ford DCT fluid is horribly expensive but there are now some good non genuine fluids available at more sensible prices.

Mondeos never cease to impress me I’ve driven the new shape mondeo a 2015 model same engine titanium spec but in automatic and it was really nice👍

Barrie Crampton my favourite shape of mondeo is the mk2 mainly because my uncle had a 98 Mondeo 2.0 GLX saloon in black with the ST200 alloys
